- [Joe] Ten years ago, Valentine's Day was a day to surprise and smother the girlfriend and express appreciation through chocolates and visual impressions. Fast forward to 2017, and my idea of Valentine's Day really hasn't changed much to be honest. I think it's a cute little day for people to profess their love and what not, but there are some factors and excuses that prevented me from taking the time out to spend that time with Alena. I constantly think about how my parents were very functional about their relationship when they were together. From what I saw, they didn't expend anything towards holidays for one another. For first generation Koreans who immigrated to the USA, it was an era of survival. I don't think there is anything innately wrong with the mentality, but when the survival mentality engulfs the entire relationship to where love becomes ice cold, it dies. I can't figure out how I fell into their blueprint, but I know it must change. In contrast, God didn't have to create us. He didn't need to create our existence and then die for us. He could have been good all by Himself. But the nature of love always surprises us, doesn't it? Sometimes there are nuggets of goodies that God randomly showers us with such as... I don't know.. eternal life!? That's kind of cool, isn't it? Almost as cool as getting an iPhone for valentines days :) Thanks Alena, I was so caught up with playing with the phone that I forgot to say thank you and even acknowledge you at the time. I love you.

This video is extra special due to the the first acknowledgment to God as Joe prayed. Then it became extremely sweeter because of the cause and effects of Alena's loving gestures to each child privately, then her hubby Joe. I love the genuine messages it sends and the closeness it brings to a family. Joe's reasoning (responses )were very true yet nicely said. It's a special blessing to have a husband that always carefully uses his words.
Alena is a very special person, her ways of showing love & encouragement to the kids made the kids keep getting more & more talented & intelligent! Alena, keep it up! You are indeed a great woman & mother & wife ! May the Lord keep using you in your home ministry & bless you more each day! Amen
Joe is sweet and so is Alena. Yall are giving me so many new ideas to do with my kids. Joe I completely get it with the whole survival things and having to set aside in a way love and affection because of neccesities but thank you God for sending your son Jesus who melts away all the coldness in our hearts. The more we open to him the more we empathize with eachother.

For those confused, majority of their videos had comments disabled by youtube due to the fact children were present and unfortunately there was not much to do about that. Now they are back one which unfortunately deleted all the old comments so you will see a lot of empty comment sections on a few of their vids :)

i believe they recently just turned their comments back on so nobody was able to comment at the time it was uploaded and now older videos are starting to pop back up on the watchers feeds.
@@lic_ia no YT banned comments of channels that had children in it bc of pedophiles. It deleted all their old comments.
