  • I thought I'd bring you along on a normal refurb job I had in recently, this utterly knackered poor Dyson DC19! The poor girl is trying her best, but she just can't produce enough airflow. Let's fix that.

I have the DC23 Turbine Head Animal, purchased in 2015. It still works amazingly well, and I love how you can have it sit on the stairs. I wish Dyson had kept this feature!

You put my thoughts on this vacuum cleaner well. it is just an vacuum cleaner, or an "Hoover" that will work well for many years.

I’d found a dc19 on hard rubbish (mind you I am in Australia), and it was completely knackered, the motor had completely obliterated the carbon brushes and burnt out.
A nee motor would cost £25, but in australia for some reason out currency is double and more so a new motor would cost between $50 - $100.
