This is really good. They don't do that thing most high school productions do where they enunciate everything tooooo loooong in a way where it doesn't sound like natural speaking, they do it very fluid and normal and the singing is spot-on. Great job guys!

Shit my school didn’t even have an auditorium, we performed on the stage in the lunchroom whilst the athletes got their 4th workout area built that year and another gym. 🙃
I love that Vivianne sticks up for Elle in the end!! I can’t explain how important it is. I like that wayyyy better than the movie version #girlpower
Also the fact that she goes back to the overly feminine characteristics that she was criticized for and is still a badass lawyer !!! I love this musical !!
I loved this. The person who played Elle was amazing and so was every one else. The girl who played paulette had a great singing voice. And everyone were good singers and dancers. I rlly want them to fo this at my school but I dont think they will .
I've seen several productions of this show, from the original Broadway production, to regionals & high schools and this is by far the BEST High School Production I have seen, thus far. It's a very ambitious undertaking and everyone associated with this production needs to be given kudos for pulling off a BIG musical, like this. The direction is stellar, the kids/performers are wonderful and I have to single out the orchestra. I truly have never heard a high school orchestra this talented. AAA+++ all the way around. (Wish I had been there to see this production, in person). Many thanks for this video!!
One of the best Paulette's I have ever seen! Absolutely loved her acting and singing. Also really liked the girl playing Vivian. She looks similar to the actress in the musical.

This is so good! Elle is such a hard character to play and Julia did a great job! Also i loved the Gospel Choir, Paulette and Vivienne, and Emmet's actor also was pretty sick! Everything was great

I love this version! The ensemble numbers are so well done, everyone has so much energy and it's clear they all really enjoy it. And this is my favorite version of Positive! All the sorority girls are fantastic. Elle has such a sweet energy and is so funny, she also has great chemistry with everyone. One of my favorite versions on youtube!
i swear no high school can do the “mad props!” bit right. they voice crack and sound stupid, but she tried and did the propose riff rly good :))

awe they licensed the British version of Ireland (the British version is about a wedding because romanticizing Ireland is weird in Europe) (The broadway cast version is kinda about finding love in Ireland)

I was confused by the lyric change in Ireland, it’s the first time I’ve heard that version, but it was great singing!!!
Also the subtle way El tied her shoes during chip on my shoulder! It was good, I couldn’t figure out if that was planned or not!

Pretty good but some of the actors don’t have enough energy for their roles. Most notably the girl playing Enid is not even a tenth as aggressive as Enid has to be so even though she’s saying the words it just falls flat.

That poor Emmett, there was a lot of moments where he’d let off of majorly important notes and just go into what sounded like his head voice. Honesty from a guy to guy perspective it was alright but honesty great show overall, love the sets and use of stage room and props.

edit 5: elle has not only recycled an outfit but has worn it for two songs straight. i’m not trying to be too hard on them but a huge part of the movie and musical is that elle has a new outfit every scene.

In regards to edit 3; Pilar is not designated African American because the original broadway cast Pilar was. None of the characters have designated races. Also, it’s not their fault if they didn’t have a black student, and if they did and there was another student more fitting for the role, it makes more sense to cast them. Just because Pilar was cast as black in broadway doesn’t mean the character is, like I said, none of the characters have races that they HAVE to be.

Paulette is singing the version written for the show in the UK... they don't see Ireland that way. I believe it's related to government issues.

super super late but i wish they had more energy in their voice bc some singing parts were awkward. the personal essay part, I love the drummers but maybe some music in the background could've made it more exciting. set, costumes, everything else is amazing.

The lead's voice is fantastic but not acting skills I'm sorry. EW needs to be always lively. Also, she has her own charm, unlike Elle in this show, who was absolutely dull. But the Delta Nu girls are gorgeous! Love them!

No offense but I wish people would stop doing the part with Sundeep Agrawal Padamadan, it's pretty racist. Always white people playing a character clearly carrying on racist stereotypes, something I noticed after educating myself more about racism that I didn't think about the first time I watched, as a white person, until thinking back. Just wanted to say to raise awareness.
This is a High School in Wallingford, PA. There might not BE any "Sundeep Agrawal Padamadans" to play the role in a musical. You can't just rewrite the song for ONE minor character!
