The symetry test is a pretty good one, I have found some outliers tho. I shot a adult 1 star mtn goat the other day that one horn was half the size of the other and he had 98% genetics... although it seems to work with everything else I have shot. I will say the amount on white on the tips of antlers seems to be a good guage on the time to when the animal will hit its next growth phase. I shot 2 5 star mature mule deer that looked fairly identical, one had really white tips on his antlers and the others are entirely brown. The one with brown tips was a barely at the cuttoff to be 5 star score wise, and had 97-99 genetics. The 5 star with white tipped antlers was 90 genetics exactly and was probably as big as he was going to ever get as he scored a 20 points higher than the 98% buck... just something to consider when sizing up deer, moose, or elk. I have seen young, adult, and mature with different lengths of white tips, so I dont think it is a age mechanic over all other than how close to them hitting the next phase they are because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the white on the tips for actual life cycle age.
@@rorywellburngaming really good idea using photo mode to check out the herd. I saw another video where the guy used photo mode to help find blood when tracking an animal you’ve shot. It’s amazing how much easier it is to find the blood from above. Especially early game when your hunter vision doesn’t go very far.
I don’t think you can see it until after you’ve harvested the animal. I’m new to the game though, so I could be wrong. Maybe there are some dope binoculars that I can’t afford that will tell you?
I just wanted to thank you, love the video. Very helpful
Very good info. Thanks

Awesome! Thank you!
Very Nice. Thanks
I wish they came with some more weapons and scopes
I was number 1k
That rack is pretty symmetrical, more points on one side like that isn't an issue , that will be a big deer
Don't shoot that one .
What is a big deer? 3 star. That won't turn out to be a 5 star.
You clearly don’t play the game, didn’t listen to the video, and obviously don’t know how genetics work. Well done 👏
How close do u have to be. My camera stops at like 50m
I can get about 100yds. Make sure you have getting all collectibles from transylvania and that will give you another 50 percent more

Why I was fool getting this game....... I think I do not have it less then two week now.......... 50+ hours in it.... and today the DLC is coming....

Where do you see the genetic points?

I started shooting everything not enough animals in this game, went back to call of the wild and the game looks like garbage now
Where is Rory?
Not going to lie I shot all mature deer
What’s the difference between an adult and mature?
For example if you’re hunting Elk or Moose the mature bull will usually have a darker coat.
What percentage makes five star
Above 93 I think but don't count me on that.
Way of the huner lol
bro doesn't know left from right and can't count... 4 tines on the right side. also its called a brow tine not a back...
Warning If you Like Hunting waterfowl in real Life this game will make you hate it. Cause in Game it is complete steaming Pile.
No… actually pretty good. You just must be bad at it in real life and in the game 🤷♂️🙃
nah it's great in game.
