- This is a buyers guide for Skidoos. In this video, I take a look at the different years, models, sub-models, options, and price ranges, among other things, to help you determine what Skidoo is best for you.

nope
@@ChannelofThings The resolute Canadian-ness, hahaha, nice.
You didn’t even talk about backcountry riding.... ok now what I came for
TEAM SKI DOO
“4strokes are more finicky”😂😂😂 lost me there 😂
I could have watched you talk about snowmobiles for much longer than 10 mins
You don’t need studs. They do provide better traction, but then your running the risk of them popping out, damaging your track and usually punching a hole in one of your coolers. If u dont have a gauge or light on your cluster to tell you when ur engine is overheating you might blow it up. If u use studs just be careful not to be running over logs or rocks. I recommend getting carbides cuz they cant hurt at all.
I love your channel keep on making great things

Learned a lot, thanks!
Good vid. Cant wait to get sledding. Never been. Live in rural ontario so i feel like ive been missing out.
Big help! Thank you
If you spend 7 grand on an original rev chassis your insane
Now you can pay 8k for a brand new renegade or mxz. There base models but still
Ikr. Payed $1500 CAD for a Rev a couple years ago. Now to be fair, it was a piece of shit and legitimately exploded but still 😂 And I payed $4200 for a Rev XP last year. It's also trash, bottom end is gone. Still trying to get rid of it lol. I really like the Rev XP chassis though. Tippy in rough terrain but good once you get used to it. Better than the XS in my opinion. But ya now I'm trying to get rid of it an get an Arctic Cat. Ski-doos have been nothing but issues for me and some of my friends have Ski-doos too and we're always breaking down. Two of my friends have Arctic Cats, they beat on those things to no end and they still run like a million bucks even with a lot of miles. And keep in mind, we do strictly off-trail riding, so it's pretty tough on sleds. Full throttle basically all the time and very rough terrain. One of my friends snapped his whole front suspension off at the start of the season. Riding, hit a big frozen bump while going insane speeds, snapped the entire front suspension on the left hand side and bent the shit out of the frame. The whole A-arm, the shock, and then obviously the ski went with it. Ripped off the side panel too because the left side of the sled dug into the ground. Sled actually wasn't totaled somehow. There was only extremely minor damage to the actual chassis so it steered a little bit off but still ran 😂
@@lucahoganyt4435 I bought a mxz800 rev for 1200 mint condition low mileage rebuild just needed a new seat
Thank you for a good and informative video!
I never owned a sled. Manly because of lack of money. But yesterday I went in to the local “toy store” and they have a black 2012 Grand Touring 600 e-tec in there which have gone 780km and it looks really nice. Not suspiciously to nice…but nice. Price is about half the new price and I’m REALLY considering it.
I got a ski doo summit sp 600 e-tec 2013, 900 miles for 4 k.
It works relly good and im happy af with it.
And i have the steel things on my skis but not any studs on my track.
The thing on the track is for the ones who rides on ice and nothing else
The end was the best part
Broke my collarbone last year because of the track sliding, definitely looking for a studded track now
Oh ya its no joke, hope you're ok now (-:
Good video:)

Pre 2003 are great sleds when you take care of them. I prefer old sleds anyways.
Growing up we had Arctic Cats, then the first sled I bought was an 02 Yamaha viper (very reliable). The second sled was a 05 Ski-Doo 600 GSX(very comfortable). Then an 08 Ski-Doo MXZ adrenaline 800(also comfortable). Then a 2014 Ski-Doo MXZ X 800 E-Tec( rides like a dream). Now I went back to Yamaha with the sidewinder l-tx haven’t rode it yet. I love the mxz x so much I kept it yet
Thank you
Lol you can have carbides and not studs that’s what most people do and I do and my sled corners and handles great
holy crap i accidentally made this exactly 10:00 ... HOW
Channel of Things i have a massey fergison from 1971 and it looks like a metal pancake
Think of the Tundras as lighter models of the Skandic
they don't have that INSANE pulling power but for your average cottage owner pulling a sleigh of wood or ice fishing gear down narrow bush trails it's perfect.
decent pulling power, FANTASTIC flotation, narrow enough to fit in between trees and light enough you can muscle it around. Carves super easy which is nice in the bush.
They suck on the groomed trails (tippy as hell), but if you're hauling down an unbroken narrow twisty trail (or making your own) there's nothing better.
It's main market is guys up north that need a cheap reliable utility sled for stuff like hunting, trapping, and fishing.
tunda sales have been only going up since yamaha quit making the bravo in 2011 and the new bearcats freaking suck...........czcams.com/video/XZN2BeYMNko/video.html
Had a Tundra II with long track
would a adult be able to ride a snowscoot 200 is that like the same thing as riding a pit bike because i kinda just want something to fuck around on
Haha I ride that same 97 MXZ 670
useful
We have a 2003 Polaris 600 Classic, going to sell it. Going to ask $3,500.00. It runs in mint condition.
You forgot about backcountrys
I just bought a Polaris 850 Indy xc 129
hate to break it to you, but if the suspensions are set up correctly, they 100 percent outhandle rider forwards.
They use the scandicks and arctic cat bearcats at ski mountains
Not everybody can just drop 7-10k on a sled.
Exactly
You don't have to
Learn to ride the old ones this guy thinks suck
Looking for an ultimate snomoblie for ice fishing that can carry 2 people if needed
☑️
But all the brps 600cc or over has the same crankshaft problem but i still always buy a lynx or a skidoo.
I run a long track with 3 inch lugs on the trail
Your stupid
Make one on ATVs
Bro I have a 91 ski doo still out runs any other sled won’t buy a new sled my 91 ski doo has been amazing
It probably has done great against other old sleds. Please set here and tell us how your 91 absolutely busted a new Yamaha sidewinder pushing over 200 h.p and you had to pull the guy home. I love my old honda 300 it's been through everything but I sure wouldn't set here and tell you its better than my 1000 Outlander
Mach 1 583cc was indestructible motor
Is a 2002 ski doo bad?
Mountain writing is so much better
I have a 97 formula 500
Hey can you make one of these on ATVs?
All skis have carbides except some vintage sleds
I was a little disappointed with your dirt bike video as you didn’t take into account MX and trails but I still like the choices, I am a beginner but I am going for MX so I wonder if CRF250R (2007-2016 on fb) would be good since you C A N go slow just it is a bike made for racing and is a two stroke
a CR250R is a 2 stroke which they stopped making in 2007 while a CRF is a 4 stroke. CR250R not for a new rider but could get away with a CRF250R if you have ridden at all and plan to race motocross.
Not true at all a low mileage xp does not go for that price I bought two 2016 rush 800 with tons of accessories and 1200 on one and 1600 on the other and both were 6500 the prices are way over exaggerated in this
I'll stick with my 84 yamaha enticer
And why did you use the exact model I had for the "old" sled
Mx zed
Is a wr250f a good beginner bike
@Fawthur Then get the FX or X as like the CRFX's the WR's are pigs even in a 250. If weight is your thing than KTM but some weight is important to handling and well reliability. Not some much the better it manuevers but the more maneuverable it is for a skilled rider. WR still probably better for a offroad beginner regardless.
Bring that short track to California and you will soon see the difference!
Forgot the Freeride
And lynx and backcountry
I would buy a skidoo if I felt like rebuilding it every 9000km😂
What do you recommend for durability?
Haha I ride a 99 Polaris 600
But what about 4 strokes ?
Channel of Things not if I do first I know where u live....
keep one eye open when you sleep. Im coming for you when you least expect it
Luke Alcamo reliable, but heavy for throwing it around
older that 2003 trash what? me looks and side elan :carving catwalks drifting u name it she can do it !
@Channel of Things 5:13 Lol thats not how its works on blade is MUCH bettar that two
really no change between rev and rev xp are you kidding dude..there is not one thing the same between the 2 models..do your research
Best snowmobile for under 1000 bucks just to piss around on trails with ...and go
dude you left out the backcountry
It’s MXZ Z it’s not mx zed
Bro your prices are soo wrong. I sold my mint 2005 ski doo renegade 600ho sdi with 3400miles for 1800$.
Bitch my 1979 ski doo starts first pull
Lol. I would out corner any doo newer than 03 with my old 02 mxz 700. This guy has no clue what hes talking about. Nor can he ride if he cannot control a sled without studs. You need carbides. You dont need studs. Literally the only benefit you get outta studs is traction on ice.
You have no idea what you're talking about I have a 2016 mxz xrs 800 etec and a 1999 mxz 670 and jump back and forth all the time when trail riding you don't need to have the newest sled out there to have fun I have fun no matter what year sled I'm on
0:40 this u Just say ski duuuu 😂
If you don't have carbide then your skis will ware to nothing
Need a summit
Henry Hultman yes, summit is bae
Ski doo=toy
Yamaha with turbo=real power
: Ski-DON'T! : If-you-don't-want-to-be-a-mechanic, YAMAHA!!!!!!!!
To be honest i like having to lean on my turns
It's definitely fun, I miss it sometimes. All depends what you're looking for in a sled and what you enjoy at the end of the day
Are you still here
always
Just get a Yamaha
Boy are you delusional, new sleds have a high centre of gravity and are more for rough trail and not cornering. The old sleds that we’re low to the ground corner better
Stay away from ski doos. The bulkheads are made of glass I hit a rock the size of a 12 pack of beer and totally bent the lower a arm and cracked the bulkhead very bad. The engines are another garbage area. I highly recommend Polaris or arctic cat. Cat especially if ur thinking an 800.
m4 Rath don’t hit a rock is my suggestion? I’m also betting you’ve never hit a rock in that exact spot with the other brands, you’re gonna say you have, but we all know you’re lying if you do lil homie
Z NOT ZED. THIS ISN'T FUCKING ENGLAND
Lol you dont know sleds bro. Also say zed one more time....canadians lol
Ski-doos are garbage Polaris or arctic cat any day
You have no clue what you’re talking about
Do tell
Finally someone understands
Skidoo’s are gross
