IN a word...."AMAZING!" thank you.
Well done! Mikael now that's what I call a holiday fishing the river of dreams.
What a cracking video. Great to see there are rivers in the world that are not struggling to keep quality salmon fishing available
Mighty river, mighty salmon. Extremely lucky the very few anglers who have the chance to fish there.
Awesome as always 👍🎣
What a beautiful river and such giant fish!! Someday I know I will make it there!! 🎣 Great video! 👌
Wonderful!
Vilken underbar film Mikael!
Riktigt trevligt att få massor av långa rusningar :)
Hoppas vi får se en bjässe från din augusti resa !
Great Film. Very informative on tackle and fishing, also very good messages regarding the river, it’s people and conservation. Great stuff Mikael
Thanks my friend!
Fantastic fishing. Wish I was there
your a very lucky and privilaged man to be able to fish all these wonderful rivers all over the world mikael, for 95% of us watching it'll only ever be a dream! great action and very strong fish, i've hooked many strong salmon in scotland in the 12lb-20lb size and they are incredibly strong so i cant begin to imagine one in the 30-40 size 🤯
I know John - i live my dream!
What a great adventure, the Romsdal crew did a good job of setting you up and helping land some nice fish through there master boatmanship . Looked like your reels worked flawlessly and your partner learned a valuable lessen , don’t take your Hands off the cork to get more leverage . And always bring more then one rod :-)
Happy Trails
Its only a smal fish 10-12 kg! FFS its big enough for me 😂👍 Good show 😎
Ralfs Reels are great.. i own some trout reels made by him
Really a dream
inspirerande!
If a person wants C&R, then he or she must try to teach others the Proper method! The fish must be kept Upright not on it's Side!! And in Deeper Water with more flow (with the Head pointed Upstream)!! This Way the fish will Recover much Faster! The blood Circulates, in the gill filaments at Right angle to the flow of water (No Flow in Shallow water). Moving back & forth, doesn't help😃 As a fish pathologist, I should know. Again "No Flow in Shallow" 😃 And O doesn't absorb & the fish is, saying "🆘" 🥺😳
Fantastic to watch while waiting for one's lucky number, while waiting on the phone. Almost made me forget about the muzak. If anybody knows, where I can find free tech drawings of some of those fishing boats, I would be very happy know.
This guy is a legend - after his death, many would envy him for what he has done. #Legend
Amazing video!!! How long is the leader on I/S3 for exampel? Can you say more about lenght of the leaders you use in general? Thank you!!!
well... thats a long article ( did write it some years ago) i fish from 50cm to 5 m. i think the futher away from the fish the longer leader you need. The deeper you want to fish the shorter you need... On the Int/3 i normally use 2-2,5 m
@@frodinflies Thank you very much!!!
Please, which rods with which length and gauge, which reels, and which lines and leaders do you use?
Could you add some comments as to the lines you were using. Would love to know your set up's
Great video btw👍
HGi, welll i fish mostly Next cast lines. Salmon finder 40 with 10 fot tips and the Zone lines with 15 fot tips. In this film most of the fish took a Int/sink 3 head with a sink 4 and a sink 8 tip. SALAR S2 rods perform beautifully with a Salmonfinder 40 and tips..
Off topic from fishing but how many lanauges do you speak and are they difficult to learn.
Im tired catching 25 to 30lbers on the Slaney .
Great fishing. I've been criticised in the past for holding my rod tip quite low and backing off when playing a fish - this gets it out quicker for release and I notice Mikael does the same - also I love the way you minimise handling the fish and keep it in the water prior to release. They are magnificent creatures and deserve respect. Well done Mikael - and I notice you were using a UK rod which is even better!!
Thanks Philip - yhee... but have to tell you I am now on my own rod design - Swedishwww.frodinflies.com/collections/salar-s2-rods
Hi ..Im just curious about your tippet ...What kind and brand?
0,47mm Fluro
what class are you fishing with?
fishing a 10/11 and a 9/10 :-)
Hardy zephrus #10/11 and 600gr nextcast zone?
hmm... at that time yes think you are right! Now SALAR S2 and Nextcast salmon finder 40 ;-)
@@frodinflies would be nice with a video where you talk about lines and rods and how those relate to flies you use. Like if you use different lines for casting the biggest TTT and a small BTT.
When is video of male 50++ coming out?
we will see... this winter sometimes... we have many films in the pipe :-)
This video makes me sick !!
