As a Pakistani I do not understand a word of this song without captions 😂 Its in Balochi Language although most of Pakistanis speak urdu 😂 edit: we have at least 72 different languages

Urdu is Pakistan's national language. This song is in Balochi, one of the 72 different languages in Pakistan.
Fun fact: kaifi and Abdul wahab sang their lines in Balochi but two different dialects.

A few facts. So Coke studio has one special characteristic which is one take recordings. They may rehearse the song for a long time, but what you see is an entire song in just one take with everybody playing together. On this song, It is important to note that Eva B is one of the first female rappers in Pakistan.

don't worry brother.. I'm pakistani but we also understand this song by subtitles.. this song is in "Balochi". as you know Pakistan has a lot of languages with nearly 5 to 6 major mother tongues.
Coke studio this year used these languages "Urdu", "Punjabi", "Balochi", "English" & "Shina".
Lyari is the first settlement in old Karachi, with the sweet water gate and salt water gate at either gate. The local people here lead a difficult life, but still have their humour and laughter, great music talent, and great footballers and boxers. People lived in small rooms in congested streets as depicted by Kaifi Khalil going from room to room meeting with people playing music. The doors keep opening and the last scene is one large space which is what Lyari is. As others have commented, the song is in different Baloch dialects. So glad you like this song as have so many millions since it first came out on Coke Studio. Lyari logg Zindabad.

Yess, Kaifi Khalils voice is so cleaann! Would love for you to react to more Ali Sethi (the male vocalist in Pasoori!). His music is a blend of modern alternative and ghazal (poetry) from the bygone era of music in Pakistan. Songs you should definitely check out: Ishq, Chandni raat, dil lagaayein, khabar-e-tahayyur. Also would love to see you go back and see more iconic coke studio like Ali Zafar's rockstar, ae dil :)

I totally agree with how you explained the lyrics' meaning i think it's also a pattern happening in the Muslim world at large that we hurt and betray each other. As groups or countries.
