It's insensitive on the part of Scot announcing his engagement. It's not the proper time and place. They were being honored for being the legend in ice skating. He should set another date because their fans were heart broken even though they knew they were not lovers.

Thank you for these wonderful videos. Watching them makes me sad. Scot is insensitive when he announced his engagement during their walk of fame even if he loves his fiancee. It is not the right place and time. Well it's just my opinion. Peace!.
I've been reading the comments in practically every video of VM on YT & their analysis of what happened between the two. Everybody takes sides and so do I. I'm on Tessa's side. Scott kept Tessa on the ice while he had his GF on the side. When he & his GF didn't work, Tessa was always there to fall back on. For 22 years. 10 yrs ago it was Jessica & it was serious. He even vacationed with her in Monaco. Now it's Jackie - his FORMER skating partner! (He always emphasized that. So when? When he was 5?) So after the gold he wants to settle down in retirement and expects T to marry him live in a small town & have lots of babies. He never figured that while he was having his heyday with his GFs off ice, T held her dreams of higher education in abeyance so she could skate with him and win the Olympics. She's had more than one surgery on her legs in between but she came back because she wanted to get the gold - WITH HIM! I guess its come to a point whenTessa just got fed up being the fallback. Not everything is about him anymore. After retirement, it's HER time. Scott is such an Alpha Male, he wants to have his dream pronto but wouldn't wait for hers. Whats so insensitive of him is announcing his engagement at the WOF- an event made for him & T! (Male insensitivity is the worst!) Well it's 2021 and purportedly the wedding is again postponed (?) - until they (He & Jackie?) could dance together at the reception. So I take it they're rehearsing(!!!) I just hope, truly hope, T&S's decision to permanently split will not cause misery for the rest of their lives. Regret is a bitch!

I've commented before that I hope they made decisions that they will not regret at the end. Before I used to watch their videos but now I don't feel like watching it and giving comment.
