When I was little and collected these, I would have a friend who would tape his cards so it would be "water proof"
I'm traumatized
What a smart kid
I had a friend that laminated them
Lol
Lmao heâs screwed when that tape falls off
U can just tap the top loaders on the table to get the card farther down/up
Yea but that doesn't work on the card saver....ONLY the toploader
Watching him put the cards into the toploaders made me clench so hard đ
Yay 100 th like
Yes no one cares
Including me ;(
@@boofa10 i care, thx man hahhaaha
Great tip when done safely
Usually when I put my cards in a top loader. I just gently bang the bottom of the top loader and the card will go in more without having to push the top of the card.
That is the correct way to do it. Pushing down on a card can change it from a 10 to a 9.
Where do you get top loaders from? :)
@@saffronwatts5791 really just anywhere, target,eBay,Mercari and I think you can get them at TCGplayer
@@heyscrub4937 Amazon too
When it comes to sleeves, Dragon Shield's Sealable Sleeves are the objectively best choice. The sleeves get sealed so no dirt and dust gets in, which means that there's no need to double sleeve. And even if you do double sleeve, there's no longer any change of dust and dirt getting inside the inner sleeve, as it's completely sealed. Also, since you don't need to double sleeve, there is less plastic blurring the artwork while the cards are in a binder. All in all, the absolutely best choice.
Does that work by simply using a standard penny sleeve (little wider)? Or would you still insist on using a perfect fit sleeve - and then putting that in the sealable sleeve?
Hiiii
@@cutekirby360 The sealable sleeves are perfect fits.
These tips from adults is objectively pathetic. The industrial revolution has had dire consequences for the Human race. May God have mercy on your souls.
Huh
You can also use silica gel to prevent humidity from warping your cards. Put a small silica gel packet in your binder or deck boxes and itâll help keep them from warping
Warping is literally the worst!
I did not know that wow
Or u can smack ur top loader with ur card in it on the ground or the table until the card is fully in
best way is to smack in on your palm, doesnt cause a ruckus
Dude, that binder is amazing! I'm definitely gonna get a few for my collection. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the information, this is what I was looking for. I came back to collecting after 9 years when Black and white base set were released. I was a kid and I didn't know about this :D
Instead of pushing the card into the hard back top loader with your fingers to stop any bending or damage you should tap it of a hard surface and the card drops in perfectly đđđ»
I highly recommend Dragon Shield's sealable sleeves. One sleeve that has no openings on any side. They are brilliant.
Nice video. Dex zipper binders are great too and they also have the Dex 12 option that fits 12 cards to the page. I always use penny sleeves because they are deeper than premium sleeves. Some of the premium sleeves are very short and the cards want to pop out of the top. Penny sleeves are also very soft and are less likely to cause scratches. The drawback to penny sleeves is that they offer less protection while sliding the card into the side-loading pocket, so you have to be extra careful to not put too much pressure on the side of the card while adjusting it.
I double sleeved my good cards. Perfect fit sleeve upside down first, then regular sleeve. That way you have complete seal. Then I put the double sleeved cards in to binders.
For the top loader card sleeves you can tap your fore arm against each other with the sleeve in one hand. That way you can get your card in or out without worry of damage. I like the video! Thanks.
Ive just started collecting again. This video will be useful đđŒ
iâm your 100th sub
Hey Randolph!
I was just wondering what sleeves you use for binders.
I currently use dragon shield mattes, but they seem to be quite a thight fit.
Will this damage the cards or the binder pockets, or will they be fine?
I like to sleeve every single card commons, un commons, rares, holos, ultra rares,...
Same lmao not enough sleeves
@@mkayden yeah
Thinking of getting a binder, been storing my cards in brown boxes that I have lying around. Will save up and get the Vault X ones, would rather buy it nice than buy it twice.
This is gonna be a good one âđ»
Very informative. Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for the excellent video. Do you have a recommendation for where to buy these supplies from in the U.S.?
the legion dragon hide binder is legit ngl. ive gotten sent different ones over the years but the OG with the embossed helmet on the front is hands down the best dam binder imo! :P
They need to make a binder that can hold toploaders
There already is
Great idea. My mate has a load of base set Pokémon cards, but are all in horrible conditions. Love your videos man.
Ok
Pokemon is amazing đ€Łđ€© I love Pokemon cause there awsome
Pokemon cards are exactly the best in the world đ and why I like Pokemon cards is ex and gx and v and seacrit rares and the best part of Pokemon cards are the awesome feeling that you get when you open a booster box or a booster packs
Pokemon go on my phone đ± is the best thing ever cause Pokemon!
legend video mate i have had my cards in a cheap folder for years terrified to get them out do you recommend the binder and sleeves for Permanent STORAGE of my cards then Mabey put the binder in a tin ? I want easy storage that will last me out but still be able to look at them once in a while
I see that fairy energy hoodie! Thanks for the video bro, got one of these binders myself! they're so good!
for someone new into card collecting this was a great vid ty :))
You should take a look at Card Guardian binders as well.. exact same setup, but instead of the rubbery outside material itâs a like cloth, but much grippier..
I use both Vault X and Guard Guardian.. Iâve nearly ran out of colors in each (each binder is unique to distinguish between them) so I ordered a Top Deck 500 that is setup the exact same but holds 500 cards. My base set will likely get transferred to it along with Jungle, Fossil, and Team Rocket.
Anyways, just wanted to drop and say, the Vault X is great, yes, but there are slightly better binders and binders that are just as good but different in one way or another.
Randolph with the standard top loader you can slide the card in and then tap the bottom of the top loader on the desk and the card will slide down further into the top loader
This is what i needed
Great vid Rand
Omg thanks so much for this just received the penny sleeves and binder. They are absolutely amazing.đđđđ
Are there any binders that fit cards while they are in a top loader?
I can guarantee you that the binders in this video are 100% the best binders for storing pokemon cards. Bought one a year back and ended up converting my entire collection over to them and still using them. Got various different sizes all equally great sitting on 13 Vault X binders currently.
these binders are known to bend cards, especially when they get more than 75% full
Great video thanks Randolph now I can organise my cards well thanks
One of my neighbours would write their name on their card with crayon. I asked them why and they said so nobody could take it from them. I'm happy they didn't get any rare/good cards tbh.
@K idk
Pokemon!
Pokemon is awesome đ cause I like the awesome ones đ and
Just because I like them!
loved this video it was very useful thank you randy my boy
do toploaders fit in binders? also what pokemon cards should i put in penny sleeves and then top loaders? only the rarest or all of them? also are holo's considered rare?
When those binders are full with all double sleeved cards do the pages start to bulge out? the first few pages?
Question: WHICH IS BETTER?
1 - Penny sleeve + toploader and stack in Elite trainer box
2 - Pro fit sleeve + Thicker Ultra Pro Sleeve and put in this binder
Help would be great :D
The second option.
I recomend you use the Dragon Shield perfect fit sleeves with the Dragon Shield Matte sleeves.
@@jesseklemba256 cheers dude
Finally a good and straight answer
Found out what I needed. Thanks!
So I've recently gotten into collecting and preserving some of my older pokémon cards using KMC Perfect Fits before putting them into sleeves that comes with the elite trainer boxes before finally putting them in a binder. Now a few months later when checking a few of them I've noticed some vertical ribbed patterns on the outer sleeves. Is this normal behavior of sleeves? If so, is it the KMC or Elite trainer boxes' that is the culprit and most important - will it somehow damage the cards? All help is highly appreciated :c
I was going to do the same thing with kmcs on bottom and etb sleeves on top, have u figured out what is the cause so i know?
@@Jerry-fo5oy Did a bit of testing and it seems like it's the ETB-sleeves that, for some reason, starts to rib themselves. I haven't seen any noticable damage to the cards themselves, but I also dont want to risk it. The KMC alone does not show this effect. It also seems like sleeves by Ultra Pro works fine as well, just not the ETB ones.
Check out Dragon Shield's sealable sleeves.
Wow
I decided to try out the binder after watching this video. The next day I ordered two more. These are the best binders on the market.
The binder is actually really good, if vault X can do some that store 480 cards with a zip that would be great
I only use penny sleeves when selling, my personal ones are in perfect fit sleeves then coloured ultra pro sleeves (black looks best)
they already have this, check amazon. i've been loving vault x binders
i didnt use your link as the shipping costs would be stupid high, but thank you for the video. Alot of my cards as a kid got ruined from bad binders and not knowing better, so as an adult im starting to preserve and there were so many options online, i went with vault x and 2 others to try, im very happy with it though so thank you for the help !!!
Helped a lot, Thanks!
Should I use penny or more expensive sleeves like dragon shield if I just plan on putting them into my binder?
Do the sleeves come with the vaultx binder? I didn't see them listed in the description?
Those deckboxes are noice. Thanks for the video
picked up a binder and the deck box with sleeves :)
yo do u buy the binder premium and it comes with the sleeves or i need to buy them too??
do you play with your cards/shuffle them? my dragon shields aren't bent like yours but i only use them for storage/display
Donât push the top of the card to get it all the way in the top loader tap the bottom of the top loader on ur palm it will go in easier with out risking bending top of the card by pushing it
Hey just want to know is the ultra pro poke ball binder good, i ordered it and its coming but dont know if its good? (Also ordered the 500 pack ultra pro sleeves, like you i love ultra pro)
I have am collecting Pikachu and some McDonald promo cards. I store them with the penny sleeves first, put them into a stiff card sleeve and then have put them into dollar tree containers. The only problem I am running into is that dollar tree containers leave about half a card length on the end that is dead space. I want to store them into another container to eliminate the dead space but I don't know what to get. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks
Can a card that is in a hard case fix in a binder? Or do we have to pick between penny sleeve/binder and penny sleeve/hard case? I bought a shit ton of packs, and got a few VMax so I want to protect them the best way I can.
Iâm also based on the uk, so was wandering where you get your semi rigid card holders from?
Do you have a suggestion for a box to fit cards with toploaders?
Yeah these zipper binders are the best binders I think. Had the ultra pro PokeBall binder and it was ok but the zipper binder is way more protective
I know this was 3 years ago, but I did not see a follow up video for getting cards ready for PSA, could you make a video on getting them ready and how to submit them please!
Btw there's another thing called kmc sleeves that is basically another layer of protection for your sleeves to prevent dust from getting into your sleeves
I heard using a perfect sleeve and put another sleeve ,after that putting card inside card saver is the best way, is that true? what about using magnetic case? will it damage the card?
Went to get one of those binders bro but out of stock when will they be back in?
guys i got a problem, i see Zip have advantages and also 3 D Rings have advantages, what do you prefer? and does really damage happen with D Ring binders?
So can I use the ultra pro and send them to gradedgem or do they not except them
I wish these were available in Canada - international shipping is just rough on them. Sadge
Try ordering from Amazon US to Canada
dope video brodie
Do your cards warp overtime if you use a sleeved binder VS a toploader binder? Not sure what to use for my master set
Maybe sb can help me. I have the ultra pro sleeves which are not perfect fit. Do they still fit in the vaultx binder or do i need perfect fit sleeves?
What I do is take two sleves a penny sleeve and load it upside down then take a rigid top loader and stick it in right side side up. It protects it from top and bottom for dust when moving cards. Also the ultra pros are better as they prevent shifting the less room around the card the safer the card from edge whitness.
Check out Dragon Shield's sealable sleeves.
Hello, very cool collection! I am wondering which sleeve you use for binder? I am starting collecting cards in vault x binder and I need good sleeves to protect all my secret rares! Please help! Iâm from England!
I would use KMC perfect fit and KMC hyper Matte for double sleeving
Surprised there was no mention of double sleeving cards with KMC perfect fits & deck protectors before putting them in the binder. More expensive but it really gives you air-tight protection
what deck protectors do you use
I thought everyone did that.
I'm using a ring binder though...heard before not to use one but the reason was due to people closing them without putting the pages back correctly, leaving cards sitting on top of the rings...
@@ericsinchina you dont need to do this is your binder has a zipper
air tight? you plan to swim in the ocean bro?
Check out Dragon Shield's sealable sleeves.
I bought the binder from your website, but can my card that are in penny sleeves be able to fit inside the binder?
looks just like the leather side-loading Ultra Pro binder I have. Only difference I'm noting is the zipper although that is a major benefit
how long to ship to east coast us? just wondering thanks
Keep up the good work đ
im new to collecting pokemon cards and i store my cards in a binder will it damage the cards over time in the sleeves?
I turn my penny sleeves upside down and load my cards from the bottom so I can use "top loading" card pages and still get 360 protection.
I use perfect fit by kimchi and then into a vaultx binder, and for the cards thatâs rare and I want to get graded I canât find the semi ones, are the top loader ok for just protect them even more in the binder with penny sleeves Iâm gonna buy those now or can I use perfect fit? Iâm a new collector so I need help.
I store mine in an old bidner with cheap 9 card binder pages, the only place I can get actual sleeves is online, I only found binder pages in the shops so I got some
I need advice I just started collecting cards and I'm using a ring binder that I already had and got the pages for card collecting and the perfect fit sleeves
for my pokemon cards i use the tins and they are really good for my collection but i have been looking at binders though as i dont play tcg anymore!!
I would like to have 12 pocket zip binder. Which model will be your suggestion?
what sleeves did you use at the start in the binder????
Hello! I want to ask if Sultan Sleeve is Recommended? :) I hope you answer this huhuh im worry it might affect my photocards
Hey randolph, i want that pokebinder but the site does not offer schipping to the netherlands.. can you fix that?
@Randolph Pokemon
When will you restock on Chmpions path elite trainers box on pokerand
Hey Iâm getting a pakasi binder please answer if I should use i dont have any insane cards
I know that when some binders become full or close to the pages start to full they bend when you first open the binder, does that happen with the vault x?
ive heard vault x bends the cards yes
@@bc1173 then again i know people that use this binder, has full of cads and double sleeved they said no problem bending only occurs when opening the binder, but as long as you don't leave it open when your done, then it's good.
Happy to see someone so passionate about pokemon cards.
How do you set out your cards in your binder?
i use top loading pages, however i load the cards upside down into a sleeve, that way the card cant get dust in from the top
do you make a binder with just your good cards?
What is the best pokemon set for a beginner to collect?
Do toploaders fix the bended cards from the sleeves?
What do people recommend for someone who actually plays the cards too? Are putting them just in deck sleeves and then keeping in a deck box ok?
I'm not too sure if it works for *pokemon* cards or, if so, what specific types of sleeves would work, but often you can double-sleeve smaller cards. I.e sleeve the card from the top with a small sleeve before putting that inside a larger one. It means both ends of the card are protected. I can't confirm but maybe pro-fit with standard fit sleeves would work?
Either way, I *highly* recommend dragon shield's sleeves. They're a tad more expensive but are *much* better quality than ultra pro/BCW, in my opinion. As with UP, there's also a tonne of options. E.g. there are sleeves which are glossy on the front (they look great in a collection) but have matte backs for ease of shuffling, as well as fully glossy (very slippery) and fully matte sleeves which don't look as nice but prevent glare. Also a tonne of different colour and art choices.
It's up to personal preference, I guess ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ Good luck!
Shame I can't really find the VaultX Binders on Amazon. Not sure if they're getting scalped or not. Not sure if Rand ships to the states. :/
Do ultra pro penny sleeves fit inside vault x folder?
Question should I put rare cards in a top loader or in penny sleeves and put in a side sleeve binder Question 2: Is there a binder that keeps cards in top loaders?
Know if those binders bend the cards and stuff?
Hey randy I was wondering if your going to play the crown tundra
"if it feels great for you, it feels great for your cards."
*Proceeds to stroke sandpaper*
Super late guys but does anyone know if these will bend the cards in that first row where it normally happen or will they keep your Pokémon cards in the condition you first put them in?
No, only reasons cards would bend, is being careless, don't leave binder open when your done looking etc, zip it up, also careful turning pages.
did that binder come with the card holders?
