- Hello! On stream we built my real (pretty tiny) bungalow in Sims 4 and renovated it as though money were no object! This reno is a real project we will be starting this year so it was super fun to play around with our options. This video is part 1 of 2 and I had so much fun making it. What other sandbox building games could we try to make real houses in?
Check out my Twitch to keep up with our home reno design series and if you have any design media or home tours you would like me to react to on stream, please send them my way! 😊

I love that you built with only base game! When I had only base game I downloaded so much cc content to replicate houses that I liked on Pinterest
After this I've started to accumulate more content slowly! ^^;
this was recommend to me and i am so excited to watch the second part! the walk thru of your house reminds me a lot of mine in structure and style. i currently live in a late 50s/early 60s home that i dream of renovating, as it is fully original except for the appliances. i rent, not own, so i have to do all my renos in the sims. i've played for many years but enjoy watching smaller youtubers or non-simmers use build mode for realistic builds, as that is primarily how i play the game. please consider doing more videos like these, where you recreate older homes then reno them!
Omg thank you so much for the kind words! YES YES! We've started a Zillowcraft series on Sims 4 where we find crazy/cool homes in real life to recreate in game and then reno! Im super biased towards older homes with character, they are the most fun! I think there'll be a lot more Sims4 content on my channel moving forward! Didn't realize how much love it gets LOL
I would love to see this done over with some cc 😭
This was really motivating to start getting some! 😂
@@angorabuilds It will change everything I can’t build without it lol
@@kayylanny I know where to hunt down CC for sims appearances, but do you have a direction to point me for good building & decor cc?
OMGG i love this sm ive been wanting to do the same thing! good luck w ur reno !! ^^
AHH thank you so much!! It was super fun you absolutely should! 🙏💕
your living room would 15x12 (5x4 sq) bedroom 3: 9x9 (2x2 sq) bedroom2: 9x12 (3x4 sq) skinny 3' wide hallways (1 sq) , kitchen fits pretty well at 12x 15....
master- er um oops the PC word is MAIN (lol) would be 12x 12 (4x4) ..... in your finished one your bedroom is like 15x18
13:43 hey I’m not trying to be rude but your partner ate a booger right here and idk if you wanna edit that out
HAHAHA it stays 🤣

yes sadly sims4 uses about 3 ft or a meter to a square and not being able to put walls on the off squares can really hamper a layout! so a 10 ft roomis either 9 or 12 ft!
So true! It really is like piecing together a puzzle! Also worth noting that other items are off in scale too. Conventional countertops are 2' deep, for example, but take up a 3' square in Sims. Dont get me started on widths lolol I understand why they do this but it throws things off over time too!
Also my husband is an interior designer and he always helps me with my roofing, although he doesn't play the sims he has a better vision on how to build realistic roofs. Btw his work is done on sketch up
Ahh I love that! I use Autodesk Revit for my work. Sketchup scares me (it's got a learning curve), props to him! Residential roofs are hard LOL
