- Hey everyone and welcome back to The Faceoff. In this video, we will be predicting Finland's roster for the 4 Nations Face-off in 2025.

The fact that Niko Mikolla isn’t in the Top 3 let alone the 7 man roster is absolutely despicable, then add on top of it Eetu Luostsairnen not making the top 13 is blasphemy. Coaches for all 4 teams are going to value recent production and underlying stats rather then popularity/household names when finalizing their rosters

Risto is trash. Mikkola is way better. I would also have Lousty over KK on the 3rd line and Lundell at C.

I don't think Aho would be a winger. He can be of course, but better at center and have an excellent center chart with Barkov, Aho and Hitntz instead of having Kotkaniemi who isn't that great.
I think centers are gone be barkow first aho second hintz third lundell fourth and build around those, rantanen def going to be left wing on first but who to put right on that first is big guestion
Rantanen is a right winger, Hintz and Aho are centers who can also play left wing. Who knows, though, how head coach Antti Pennanen will construct the lines. I would go with Teräväinen-Aho-Rantanen as the first line, Hintz-Barkov-Laine in the second, Maccelli-Lundell-Granlund in the third and Lehkonen-Haula-Kakko in the fourth. Tolvanen as the extra or maybe Kotkaniemi.
My Rosters is this as a Finn:
Lehkonen- Barkov-Rantanen
Macelli- Aho-Teravainen
Granlund- Hintz- Laine
Luostarinen-Lundell-Armia
Kakko
LINDELL Heiskanen
Jokiharju-Vallimaki
Matta-Mikkola
Ristolainen
Saros-ukko-Annune

Yeah, I think it is the best to have Rantanen and Lehkonen , Aho and Teravainen, Lundell and Loustarinen, Lindell and heiskanen Together becous it is a short tournament and them now eatch ator. Sorry for bad English
Other than missing Hakanpää from third (Rasse, Määttä or Mikkola could all drop out) I would say this is it roster wise. I'd swap Granlund - Barkov - Laine as my first and put Lehky and Rants with Hintz. Laine is lazy to defend and he knows Barky inside and out. Granlund can bring solid playmaking skills and also score. That would make Laine and Granny better. Hintz brings so much playmaking ability that the Colorado boys will have a nice time. Kakko or Tolvanen as the 13th but depends so much how this seasons plays out from those two. I feel Kakko is going to bloom.
Finland has depth and a ton of experience on winning. Our coaching is the biggest question mark. Tuomo Ruutu is absolutely solid but the others do not convince me. USA will be first but since canada has a ugly goalie situation and swedens core is pretty old i'd say 2-4 are anything but set.
Finnish coaching staff is most likely going to pair up team mates. So, Lundell and Luostarinen in the same line, Lehkonen and Rantanen in the same line. Finland usually think hockey as a team game, not individual sport, so chemistry inside lines is more important than players status. Lindell and Heiskanen propably plays together too. There might be couple of players outside of NHL too.
Chemistry is a huge part in any winning team, that’s a great point. How do you think they’ll do in February?

@@Jaageful Exactly! As long as team Sweden is behind then this tournament will be a massive success :D That said winning whole thing would be pretty awesome but lets not get that greedy yet.
Only NHL players are allowed to play in this tournament.

I believe that Kotkaniemi wont be in roster. Really good player but he needs to get his shit together in order to be in let alone to remain in NHL.
I think he is good enough to crack the roster, can he play not so sure but we still believe he can crack it….

@@TheFaceoffyt In the game 7 of the SC finals the Panthers were protecting the one goal lead in the final minute and guess who was on the ice and made a huge block? Luostarinen. He'll be on the roster 100%.
