Empty 1,200 lbs just water heater
You left all the t&p valves, gas controls, boiler drains and some pieces of copper. Those items alone would equal to the same or probably more that what all the iron was worth. I mean you’re already going to the scrap yard. Next time have the help remove all that stuff when they have a bit of down time at the yard
What's your guess on weight?

I’m thinking you could have gotten better money by taking off all that brass and copper you just sold as scrap prices !
Roughly how much do you think I would of got if I took off the p&t valves?
Yellow brass and copper go between $2 to $3 per pound where scrap prices go per 100#
!
The average residential 40 to 50 gallon water heater weigh 100 to 120 pounds empty. Figure it from that.
