Onboard with Juan Pablo Montoya for 1.5 laps at the amazing Laguna Seca raceway during the 1999 CART race. This is before they moved all the walls back for the bikes and lowered the top of the corkscrew, it was really hard then.

I was there to watch this race, sat outside Turn 9. There wasn't a single yellow flag the whole race - until Montoya and his teammate collided and spun on the cooldown lap following the chequered flag, right in front of me! An indelible memory
