sometime i had had those issues and i blame it to the zipper, but being honest with myself, sometime the issue is that i am forcing myself into clothes, coats, jackets, etc... perhaps too tight for my body... hehehe, so the zipper will end up blasting open hahahaha...with the fashion of wearing very tight jeans, i got some pair of jeans that i have to wear with very long tops, to hide the open zip....

Actually, to prevent damage to the zipper teeth, you put on a new slider at the BOTTOM, not the top. That requires that you do a little seam-ripping, place it on the bottom, pull it up, closing the zipper, and then SEW (or staple well) the bottom stopper closed again. Fabric glue at the bottom can work, too. Just make sure you have recreated the stopper at the bottom.

I used the pencil, the q-tip with lubricant and closed the mouth of the slider with a nail clipper and knife (Didn’t have pliers). Success! 😊Thank you for the vid

What about if the lip of the slider (that hook thingy to put in the tab thingy [the thing you pull on]) breaks off?

Your video inspired me and I fixed my zipper with no tools, but a lot of patience. Never force a Zipper. Proper lubricant is key, solved my issue. Love You SuzieChaps

In our family I am the zipper fixer but this one was very stubborn...after trying for almost 15 minutes, I finally managed to unblock it, but none of the above tips worked...I had to do it the hard way, with my powers ...it was hard but it finally worked. I wish everyone goodluck with their zippers. I did a video about it also, so I can maybe help other people, who knows. Cheers

    Yay, Thank you!
The zipper separated after it was zipped up. The slider needed to be tightened with pliers, like you said.
it took a couple of seconds to do and viola. My ma can use her favorite purse again. 👌🏼😁
