Luca Leggero - 2021 Canavese Nebbiolo

Luca started his winery in 2014 in the Canavese region, famous today for its production of Erbaluce DOCG and a unique variety of Nebbiolo grapes called Picotener. Their organic methods encompass much more than just a sustainable/cleaner cultivation method; it is a complete philosophy of life. We acknowledge that a healthy, thriving, and balanced ecosystem is the key to achieving superior quality wine. We make wine in an authentic, unadulterated manner and produce a pure expression of terroir. Our passion is to highlight the distinctive characteristics of the grape variety as grown in our unique region.
This wine is a unique and high quality wine made from the ancient Nebbiolo grape variety called 'Picotendro'. It is native to the Canavese region and has a distinctive sense of nobility and presence. Hand harvested and sorted by hand and minimal intervention winemaking includes over 22 months of aging in Amphora, large Oak barrels, and bottle.
