Such a breath of fresh air!!!! I am so fed up with beauty "gurus" and their routines that make everyone look the same. I love what you two have to say about this - love your observations and fully agree! I predict (and hope) that there will be a bit of backlash and that soon we will hopefully truly appreciate and enjoy many types of beauty. The idea that any one type of nose, cheek, or lip is "best" is a bit horrifying and sad to say the least.
God I love this! The rejection of "perfect" chimes with me so much, I have zero desire to change my head! I've always enjoyed playing with makeup but have never worn a full "routine" and if I attempt to for an occasion I don't really feel like myself so I've stopped doing it. ‘There’s a hole in your head where your eye is’!!!!!! Oh, yes, sing it! I don’t have shadows. But I’ve had pronounced bags around the edges of my eye sockets ever since I was in my teens. It’s genetic. Doesn’t relate to sleeping. I’ve noticed the odd celebrity that has the same - Dakota Fanning and Daria Werbowy, par example! It took me a while to embrace this unique feature of mine (!) and now I have zero problem with it. Because I have holes in my head, duh!

I've just rewatched this video after watching the make up kit video. These are definitely my favourite 3 videos in the series. Dick is so refreshingly honest and delightfully unfazed by what anyone else thinks. I do feel like he will be disappointed in me though because I just had my brows microbladed haha.

Dock Page is a complete legend and I want to hear his opinion on EVERYTHING but also Sali seemed more engaged in this interview than any of the others (all of which I love) and I wanted to hear what she had to say just as much as Dick! All that was missing was a wine box 😍. Really looking forward to part 3!

As far as personal style, women in the public eye who haven't changed their faces, who still look like themselves and don't seem to be afraid of aging and being imperfect, I think the women in their 50s and 60s and 70s now in Hollywood like Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, and Annette Benning really stand out

The Opera Singer (deceased) Joan Sutherland always maintains that her longevity was due to the fact that she did everything in the Opera Company. That and an amazing technique. Much like what Dick is saying here, he accepted everything and it is a good attitude to have. Holds you in good stead.
Absolutely fascinating! I love thinner lips, down turned eyes, mono brows, little moustaches, freckles, Roman noses! Give me difference and personality any day over homogeneous middle of the road, safe boring pap. Sali and Dick thank you for this! Off to slap on my red lips and face the world

I feel like there’s very little “fun” about doing my makeup these days because everything is shown as perfecting this and perfecting that in advertisements. It seems like everything is promoted for people who need to fix themselves and it’s very tiring.
Argh! Sali I hereby volunteer myself to be your filming person. I may be a lawyer with only an interest in slap plus I'll have to negotiate time off from my firm but I can guarantee I'd do a better job than your existing person who definitely has the hanging shakes...
