BP, there is to be a spring on that lid to hold is shut on the unloading auger so if it plugs when filling a feed bin it can push out the top of that lid.

Nice grinder/mixer. Now, CP is a dang great wife, "I want to help". Not many men hear that when it comes to outside chores.

when I still had goats till this year I got goat ration from Masterfeeds they loved that stuff and even the oats with molasses but then they added other stuff to it and got goats that where so picky they wouldn't eat it so switched to goat ration. Awesome video

How you going BCP. I used to use a hammer mill, the old fashioned way with a pail or bag underneath to collect the crushed grains. Very dusty and unhealthy work. Spot on system your using. 👍

One of these days I’d like to get my hands on a mixmill, just have a roller mill. Always another piece of equipment a guy wants. Lol

@@bcpfarmandtrucking6560 I agree. Always liked ground feed better. When I was a kid, dad had a hammer mill for the hogs. But we wore that bugger out.

Fix the hinge on the lid and put a bungee cord on it. Do Not make it solid!! If something happens and the end he's plugged, is supposed to pop open.. if it doesn't, it's not a good thing.
They still say cows utilize ground feed better.. pellets are good too.. as they are just packed ground feed..

I dont think the cows clean up grains off the ground vary well...I've fed them that way and mine seem to waste alot

You need to put a hydraulic motor on the auger

Thank You for your honest answer to my last comment, i respect you for saying u love your cows. Now lets try another one. We joined the program in 2021 Feed Canada, then the World with what is most needed. how would u advise a 19 year old cattle farmer with 5 or less cattle to stick with raising cattle and slowly grow ur herd or to change and accept the free government help and join the Feed Canada First program and get free $1million each year for 5 years but raise one of these, hogs, sheep or goats. how would u advice a young farmer. We are in year 2 of this program and discovered how things are different when u have money in ur pocket to not having any. u can dream and pay for those dreams today. The kid i ask about is a Saskatchewan kid.
