Thanks Koos, another great interview on Legacy. I know 3 of them well. Peter Williams was a platoon sergeant in D company when I relieved Julius Kratz as coy commander for about 3 months after our para course. It was also the time when the RG was temporarily disbanded. That was when Witkop Badenhorst asked me: How many heads? Coen Riekert is just an awesome person and definitely the most qualified of all as he was the second group of pathfinders under Col. Breytenbach. Peter and Coen joint us at St Michael end of 86 together with Willem Ratte. Noel Viljoen is one of a kind as you can hear with tears, but remains kind and commited to the 32 tradition and commitment to our ranks and troops. Currently he is the RSM of the 32 VA and doing a brilliant job. I take my hat for you Noel. Noel in French or Portuguese mean Christmas father, so keep the good work Noel. Happy Christmas to all.

En dit sal jy ook nie hoor nie, as jy will voorntoe gaan. As jy mooi luister is als net om en rondom, en niks word gese nie. soos hulle se, as jy nie weet nie is dit mos makliker

Ja my Pa was een van die eerste SAP's op die front, saam met die koevoete, as leier van ons land nog voor die weermag daar was.
I do not think that the deployment of 32 BTL was started as said as I was trained by 32Btl and specials ops people in 1976 a SGM Dushneves was my SGM and was called up for a ops while we where busy with our basic training?

Were all members of 32 recce wing actual qualified Recce operators that went through selection and courses?
No, only some of them qualified later for what you call "actual qualified Recce operators" - I suggest you watch earlier episodes on Frans Fourie and others where the difference is explained. These men were as good as any but worked closer to base - like in tactical operations, Koos
