If you want to have all the presets into your game files for every car (PC)
550 hours played on ACC and man... This looks like sourcery but man... it's not that it "works", it's like day and night on F296. It's not about shaving time, it's about the car finally doing what you tell her to do and being predictable. This is the best stable, neutral setup I've ever driven on this sim so far. At thinking it works on all tracks it mind blowing. Thank you man, you deserved my tip
Thank you very much man! Check out new vids your name will be there!
Thank you for a better preset. I'm 71 years old and just started ACC. As soon as I downloaded the game, I said oh man I don't get it, now it gives me a better idea of what is going on. And more pleasure in racing. Thanks bud. I have knocked off numerous seconds off my tracks best times.
Awesome to hear man! Thanx for the comment
Me too. This afternoon I have improve my time on Monza more than 1 second
71. Thats cool🤙
71? And just starting out as a noob like the rest of us? much respect, and reminds my of my own 70+ dad's words, 'Rest becomes rust', as long as you can find new interests and stuff to do, life is interesting and keeps you going. For some boredom, tv, microwave dinner and often loneliness is all that's left after retirement and then things can go quickly downhill.
My man i completely agree with this! And know that this is the first older generation who can do this with the technology available
Literally very first lap with this setup hadn’t even changed ride height or bump stop and cut 5 seconds off my fastest lap thank you
I was directed here from your newsletter and didn't realise I'd already seen the video (more than once) until nearly the end. It's easy to get distracted while experimenting with setups... but this guide is always useful and I learn a bit more each time I watch it.
Thanx Dylan for this comment!
Finally a no nonsense video about setups in ACC.
I learnt a tip from a french e-sport driver: ABS always at 3, it is the standard. And then if necessary, do -1 or +1 depending to the track/race conditions
So why aliens use 1
?
I think it was before 1.9.@@chlebaQQ
@@chlebaQQcuz they are Aliens.
@@chlebaQQ 1 is the fastest in some cars, assuming you have good enough throttle control to not need TC intervention, but even aliens turn it up and down during a race based on the optimal level for each section and any changes in circumstances.
@@dylanmonahan5909 That's TC, not ABS :D
Thanks so much for posting this video. I have been struggling a bit with 296 but this set up has made it more predictable and controllable. A great place to start! Cheers again 😁
best explanation of how to use bump stops i've come across, awesome!
Thank you so much. You are a legend. I'm playing vs IA just for fun with a generic wheel but this improved a lot of spin and oversteer situations. Greatly appreciate the explanation on every setting!
Absolute genius never had a better handling car in acc 👍🏼
Very helpful overall, especially your explanation of the bumpstop range was perfect, very clear. Thank you for this video !
Ok, this is just gold! This setup even though is your starting point to build and tweak later is literally better than 90% of any other setups I've found online so far. Thank you for the info and good job!
God Bless you for this tutorial. For years I tried to understand setup things other than tire pressure, and here we are with mega simple guide to get better with simracing.
Had the same problem explaining also took me some time haha
This setup up changed the game for me. Anyone struggling with massive/snap oversteer try these settings
Thanks a bunch, used your set up and the car felt more stable. Keep up the good work
If this video would have been a picture I would have had it printed near my simrig . Great job ! Thank you !
First class matey, you just found me half a sec on Kyalami and the car feels so much more predictable with no lift-off oversteer. Much appreciated :)
Yea yes yes! Thank you mate, setup was always daunting, my lap times have dropped by seconds thanks to this. I don’t get a lot of time to game, was looking for a quick setup starting point and this is it!
The only setup which works for me. Makes me 2s faster on every track - awesome. Thank you!
Setups are the biggest thing holding me back from racing. So learning about setups for yourself with this video is greatly appreciated
Thanks for making this video! I liked the parts where you explained what the settings do and how they change the cars behavior.
I have a lot to learn when it comes to that aspect of racing, so videos like these are great!
Thank you. I will definitely try them out tomorrow.
I would say this is basically a soldi base to start building a specific setup. I don’t agree on the brake bias, steer ratio and rear height. BB should be much close to 50, unless you’re driving Aston or similar. And steer ratio it’s very important to differentiate it car by car. Rear height should be set up from the value you have at aggressive setup and for each click you increase downforce you should rise up the car by 2mm. This is something that works for every car.
I appreciate the video for all the other things.
Very useful comment thanx!
Guy, you are great! Not only faster times but a lot of consistency with all your tips! The best acc setup video ever! Graziee
Thanx man consistency will get you that podium at some point👌
Haven't tryied this yet!!! But this is EXACTLY the video I've been looking for. How many times I've watched a video and "AGHHH, YES, I know that.......but what is a good basic BASE setup to start with!!!" This IS the place to be.....mate :)
That's how to start mate glad to help out!
Thank you so much... I have not improved my lap times (yet) but I find myself being infinitely more accurate and consistent during my tests, I understand how my car is and will behave and overall it is so lovely to drive. I am testing these settings on the McLaren 720s Evo.
Mannn, I really sucked at Mount Panorama, my time was 2:18, just couldn't handle the car in this track, every time i tried to get a little bit faster, immediately got blown off from the track. This was really frustrating... Tried you're preset now on Nissan GT3, got my time from 2:18 to 2:06!!! Counldn't believe that just a simple preset can make such difference. Car goes through corners dammn good. For a sim racer with G29 wheel, this makes total difference. Thank you!
Comments like these are making CZcams worthwhile man Thank you
thank you, this changes made me 3 seconds faster on mount panorama! just suscribed waiting the next videos
MY my...thats what I tagged this set up for Mclaren 720 Evo and all tracks! Its awesome! I have been on ACC for abit over 2 years now ...Never seemed to get faster on bought setups and I have tried a few! Loaded this setup and to date i have shaved off 12 seconds on Spa!!! and 4-6 seconds on other tracks!! Thank you for your time and effort of helping other sim racers!! tip is coming! Thanks again, Nick the 64 yr old sim racer!!
Yourre welcome Nick great to hear it is helping you out! And being 64 absolutely awesome most people of your age would not even consider this hobby they are missing out mate!
Massive help, thank you!! The car immediately feels better and your video really explains the effects of set up changes
Great to hear man! Everybody should be able to some tweaks on setup
I'm finally driving the car now, it is so precise feeling, massive oversteer gone, goes where I point it. Awesome, Thanks
This was the goal I'm glad it delivers
Thank you so much for this video.
Wow thanks for sharing this information I hit my fastest lap on my first flying lap you are now my favourite CZcamsr 💪😂
Great video, thanks for explaining how the different elements work as well 👍
Thanx for the comment mate
Liked, subscribed. Thank you for those detailed explanations mate !
This may not give me my fastest lap, but after trying for an hour at Barcelona and COTA, this setup advise is amazing.
I'm so consistent now it crazy.
Thanks 🙏
loving the content it really helps thank mate.
Best explanation I have watched.
Love it. Gonna try on my first run.
You going to have a solid foundation with this preset
Thank you! Absolute game changer for me, I'm less than 150 hours in and have really needed the help- this does it. Copied the settings last night with the Aston V8 & Ferrari 296 - dropped .8 around Barcelona in the Aston and dropped just over a second in the Ferrari - can't wait to dig into part 2.
Awesome mate! Enjoy the content there's even more coming
We hit the like goal within 24 hours! As promised czcams.com/video/0zLV-Td2-tY/video.html&ab_channel=SimRacingArnout
fast safe and tire-friendly, gj mate
I liked the video to begin with, just thinking that’s the right thing to do after somebody bothers to make an effort.
I’ve tried a few other suggestions provided by other CZcamsrs with no success possibly due to my driving style.
Well, I tried it tonight over a couple of races and what a difference!!
I had to subscribe.
Thank you as it’s made a massive difference to my driving. ❤
Great to hear thanx for your comment!
I tried it on the 296 gt3 and was blown awaay!! Great video
Glad i could help!
Many Thanks to you!

this is what i call a contribution to the community, big thx, Sell it to kunos as new base setup ;)
Cheers, thanks a lot for sharing, i know you have earned the information through hard work, bless your heart :)
Thanx mate your one of the first to acknowledge that!
TOP!
Super dat je er mee overweg kan!
M8 this is the best video I’ve ever seen my Laguna seca lap time went from 130 all the way to 125 just from this setup thank you like im so hyped 😂😂
I applied this setup to the Porsche 991 ll gt3 r 2018
Haa nice man, you had the skills you just needed a setup
thank you for your content and advice...from someone who purchased set ups for the 296 from well known source i can tell you that your advice is better than what i have and now i need to study as lift off oversteer going into ascari in 296 (maybe slow down! lol) for 1.47's understeer in macca at Pouhon and big slide through Stavelot and i am losing around 1 second in chicane...all this and achieving 2.19's...thank you ❤
Absolutely awesome comment man! Thanx
I'm very new to ACC but have some real world experience with setup.
Lift off oversteer is caused by a drastic weight shift to the front axle. in the real world is most commonly controlled with spring weight. Fwd guys will put stiffer springs in the rear to actually encourage this, as it's harder to rotate / slip a fwd car.
So a few things you could try, in order of preference:
1. increase front spring weight
2. as he suggests in the video, play with the bump stop range. try give the front less range
3. decrease rear swaybar stiffness
4. decrease rear rebound damping.
Try just one change at a time.
Let me know if any of that helps, and good luck!
I actually know a lot of therotical stuff about setups but it doesn't really work for me when I start from the default presets. But with your base setup everything suddenly works and is such a night and day difference. I did a setup for the v12 and even the tc didn't cut as aggressively anymore as it did with the presets. Thanks to that I won the split 3 legacy race. So thank you very much for sharing.
Winning podiums with some new knowledge is such a great thing!
This setup and explanation was awesome, instantly improved the 992 over both the standard setups and those from Coach Dave Academy (WAY too much oversteer and instability). Almost instantly gained a second at Spa and expect with a few tweaks will find another easily. Far more planted through Eau Rouge.
Great to hear man!
Holy crap! This was so incredibly helpful. I have been driving around Zandvoort for a couple weeks now and struggling to get below a 1:42. I tried this setup in the McClaren 720s evo, and not only did I get a 1:39:9, but the previous 3 laps were in the mid 1:40s. I thought I may just be a garbage driver lol, but this makes the car so much more controllable. Cant wait to try in on other tracks!
Great Improvement!!
If your driving macca you need to use something competely different then what this guy is showing here, alot of stuff in this video doesn’t even make sense for the 296 let alone other cars. What he uses here will kill your laptime
Indeed if your driving a 1,35 or 36 on Zandvoort this is complety useless but most of us are struggeling to get a 39 laptime, and a eindstein complicated setup guide will not help the beginners or novice players getting to play around with setups
Just to let you know. I tried your base setup in part one and went to practice at Misano.
Now, I am a serious Rookie but, I knocked almost 2 seconds off my lap time.
I'm not fast but, I am a consistent and clean slow. I put my times into the 1.39's
Wanted to say "Thanks" for giving us a place to start.
Now, on to part 2.
Great info and channel!👍🏁
A great way to start man! you can build from consistant standpoint. Im thinking about a part 3 as well but i dont want to make it too complicated
@@SimracingArnout I say "Bring It".👍
Thanks for this video, seriously ... this changes a lot my times in the game at least 1 to 2 seconds depending of the track, but really good advises. I hope you will still making some of this kind of content in the future
There's a part 2 and 3. and a lot more Thanx for the comment
Thank you 🙏
So, today was the day. Me, as a Noobe watched your Video now for the 3rd time and did the adjustments and look at this, i am a Race driver now , 2 Seconds faster on Brand Hatch and the Car feels realy good to drive. Thank you so much , 1000 Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍
Interesting, gonna test it later and give a feedback!
Thanks a lot man ...car feels much better when driving in corners .en over kerbs ...gonna test it in lfm....greeetings from Rotterdam✌👍
Awesome man! Good luck!
@@SimracingArnout thanks
thanks i will test it today
Thx 👌
Just wanted to say top man for sharing! tried to play ACC four times on the ps5 as it was suppose to look a lot better on ps5 to ps4 and ended up throwing my toys out the pram again. because i couldn't even get round a track once started pushing (i'm A rated on GTS & GT7) with the default set ups! you sir have opened a new door for me concerning ACC and i just wanted to say thanks. i will put a link to your video on my ACC streaming showing these work for beginners i have managed to get all the Track Trophies in 3 streams thanks to you :)
I also got promoted from bronze to a silver category driver yesterday after only playing 4 times since Saturday - man on my ps4 pro account i was still only bronze after punishing myself playing with default set up for championship and career mode :/
Thanks Again :)
Awesome comment man!
Really nice explanation
This video gained you a sub
Appreciated
Amazing video, this is why I’m sad that these gaming companies don’t offer digital manuals with clear understanding of each item you mentioned as detailed as you also explained as to the cryptic messaging they show to the right of each within the game…they don’t make things fully clear, as if we’re all supposed to be car people with engineer backgrounds or something… your explanations along with jardier S too, has helped me get back into ACC again. As it became too frustrating in past until now…much thanks. Happy holidays.
Great man thanx for your comment theres a lot more coming
I commented already on this but I'm back to say this is the best setup video I've ever seen. Main the Porsche and have struggled with the 992 since 1.9. With the tips in this video the car is transformed, transformed into an absolute beast. It turns, its responsive, its agile, it eats kerbs for breakfast and its fast. Gives me a lot more confidence to push.
PB at Imola, on LFM, two wins today in split 2 and 3 or 4 podiums.
Thank you Arnout.
Note - I tame it a little for races, whats shown in the video is fine for quali but you need to tone it down a little for race or your tires will be toast after ten mins. Also, up the TC a click or two.
Well i hit a podium as well in split 2 this week so i made myself a new competitor haha good stuff man! I when i came up with the preset i decided to make this video after testing it on the porche then i knew i was on to something, btw hopefully a new patch will keep this method alive lol. Can you explain what you mean with taming the car? What do you change to preseve your tires? Greetz
@@SimracingArnout For a race I make some very minor changes which helped a lot for preserving tires, this is specific to the 992 (I don't drive anything else):
1. Reduce front camber to 3.7
2. Reduce rear camber to 3.2
3. Rear toe set to 0.1
4. Increase TC to 6 (personal preference for me, TC2 at 0)
5. Increase front wheel rate by another two clicks
6. Increase rear wheel rate by one more click
7. BB set to 48.6 (I personally run as low as possible brake bias because its the Porsche)
8. Rear ride height at 64, front ride height at 59
9. Rear wing 12
This is specific to Imola btw but with changes to ride height it should work anywhere.
Tires no longer toast at end of race while others are spinning all over the place.
Allright so the camber and toe changes makes you feel the tires are more sustaining then? I sometimes struggle with a bit of wear sometimes i dont. Defenitly gonna try this out.. thanx!
@@SimracingArnout Yeah, it seems to work for me. Tire wear not so bad. I see others driving on glass in the last 5 mins of a sprint race where I'm ok to push a little. But not too much. TC at 6 helps also.
Thanks for the comments. I found the 992 since the 1.9 update underivable for me. I will give this a try.
have about 11 hours on acc (bought it last week) and i didnt know what to do with the base setup and was slow. with these setting the car feels much less understeery and more towards what i want the car to feel like. thank you :)
Have fun with acc man! What car your using?
@@SimracingArnout not mainly using any car yet, still trying to get a feel for them, but if i had to say one i would say the merc
Your video was supremely Boss! Thank you for the the explanations to each setting that you highlighted. I wish that you were on PS5 so I can test this against you.

2 seconds gain is a lot! Great
Verry good video wow nice one
I can not believe this, I've tried payed set up and copying fast lap set ups and never managed anything better than the aggressive set up. I've been playing Acc for a couple years now and was happy having mid pack battles with avarge lap times at Monza been mid 1.51s and a pb of 1.50.2
I did you set up and went straight into a race at monza no practice, no quali
By the end of the race I was avargeing mid 1.48s and a pb of 1.47.8
Same experience on Spa and Bathurst. Now I wana keep pushing to see we're I can get to rather the playing around mid pack.
Thanks you so much your my new hero
So you masterd ACC you just needed a different setup approach! Witch car you used? Thanx for the comment!
Using the 720 evo
Yeah seems that way though I was just a slow driver
Dude, my first try of this setup, I got pole position 2 times in a row.🎉 at Paul Riccard
Amazing! Even my Reiter Engineering R-EX GT3 Lambo is more competitive and nimble on the turns.
Great to hear thanx for the comment 🙏
Crazy this! My cars literally srick to the track now! Perhaps a bit too much, the Porsche in really understeery, currently just raising the ride height
Tried it with the 296 on Imola and drop my best time by .400. I was like WTF. Very nice ! Thanks
Ooh yeah man if i only could find 0.4 more pace somehow haha
Hahaha. I’m far from being alien. Just went from 1:43.200 too 1:42.800

thanks
Gained me 5 seconds on spa, couldnt get passed a 2.28.1 now running consistent 23s and been in 22, constantly oversteered even on TC6 now managing on 3 great set up on a 720s
Your setup is great. But it’s all about the driver. I did 1:45 with your setup at Zandfoort which was the same as just the plain old aggressive setup in the McLaren 720. I watch you drive it and you knock out sub 1:40’s no problem. I was hoping to get my LFM license but am so far off I can’t see where those 5 seconds are going to come from. Your videos are great sir. I will continue to watch.
That must be frustrating, but i think it is important to understand that these 5 seconds are there somewere : in the braking, racing line, conerspeed, and exiting the corner how early you hit the trottle etc, practice every dat for a 30-45 minutes this sim can be hard to master in the beginning
What i can absolutly recommend is the detailled Track guide from Nils Naujoks. he really explains meter by meter all breakmarkers, turning points, etc especially for the licence track. czcams.com/video/WZZra0Q5f6M/video.htmlsi=Xmdg067OIIbdo590
Hey man! Nice video, will try them out (hoping they still work for 1.9.8 🤞)
Also, are this settings just “gaming” competitive, or do they have a realistic foundation for being this way?
Thank you! :)
This will be still good for 1.9.8 and its a mix of gaming and realistic
You better be working on the other videos :))
Nice job!

@@SimracingArnout Nice haha. For now, not really. But I'm still an amateur who is happy to shave off some time after increasing the rear ride height :)
Set up works well as base. Thanks for the tips. Can't seem to get better than 1:49 at monza. Seems slow in str8s
Yeah watch part 2 for a top speed setup
I got into sim racing about 8 months ago. Unfortunately, I got a ps5 instead of a gaming pc, didn't spring for monza or fanatec wheel base either. So the logitech is limited. But your advice helped tremendously, and I just wanted to thank you! The struggle has been real.
Wow! All I had to do was raise my rear a few mm and I got my best time ever
works fine on the mclaren on monza, i turn more on t1
Mooie uitleg, ga deze ook eens proberen. 👍👍👍
Top de mais
No lie thought you were the guy Klaus from Vampire Diaries
Whaha ehmm thanx i guess🙃
just tried it. well it works :)
tweaking for some time at the setups around... do not see sense to buy them at all.
I always had real trouble to get the setups proper.
Just joined.. got spa were i wasn't able to find any proper setup at all. even after trying Really a lot.
With the base one I was able to just keep constant pace around my very very best times before... and damn how stable the car behaves. I am pretty sure that from there I will be able to tweak further. top speed etc.
Thanks a lot ... your vid really deserves more attention... I tried the jardier style... but his base is just to tricky to properly be handled by a noob like me. I noticed that right after trying... so i didnt event bother to keep trying his way. also his free setups are really well sometimes very very hard to drive at all.
These comments keep me going man thanx!!
