Epica has everything! Good composition, deep lyrics with heart and mind. Both the heavy and the softer touches my very core. Great stage presence! It always fire up the crowd when you feel the artists are loving it up on stage. I hope you keep creating. I'd still watch when you guys are 70 years, lol
And at 70, Simone will still look 25, as she does here.
More bands should post their full shows as often as Epica has

the rain only gotten worse as the concert went on, but in that crowd? you barely felt a drop, that's how hot the masses were

Yes the sound mixing at the Serbian festival was immaculate, but the crowd here is beyond spectacular. Just what a band of this caliber deserves. A shout out to the groovy bass and the stellar vocal performance during code of life. The final lullaby is such a fucking delightful tune. Mark sounds amazing and Simone's chest register is just so so good. And again, what a fucking amazing crowd. Merry Christmas Poland!

Fell in love with Epica since the first time I listened to Cry for the Moon all those years ago. Still an incredible band and their live performances never disappoint.

the mixing of the instruments might not be optimal on this recording (i m sure it sounded great at the actual event) but the vocals do sound excellent - i dont think its possible for Simone to not sound immaculate at this point but Mark as well sounds absolutely incredible here.

Epic as you always show off with such concert jewels, it is a great Christmas Eve gift and takes on a much more important meaning for those of us who do not have the privilege of being physically present at festivals like Pol'and'Rock. I still don't understand how or where you get such an amount of energy, each of the presentations of this 2023 were in crescendo, each one even more powerful than the last!!! Thank you for existing Epica, thank you for making it possible to get closer to you, for giving us the opportunity to overcome the barriers that "separate" us and make our hearts beat to the rhythm of your wonderful music, the only universal language that goes beyond the distances and unites us in the same feeling.... Freedom for all mankind!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

It took me a couple of days to get to this, but it was so worth letting the anticipation build! Band as great as ever, Simone angelic as always, and it looks like everyone was having a wonderful time. I can tell the world from experience that I have indeed experienced addictions that are not as safe and not as fun! I love the 7-string Les Paul; that is one of the coolest instruments I have ever heard. This band - every single member - is extremely talented and very entertaining live. This is the first time I have Seen EPICA live. I have a live double-CD, so I already knew your live show was respecting of the original recording while also providing something special for the live audience. But simply hearing it obviously is Not Seeing It. 🤟🏼🤘✊🎶🎵🎶🤟🏼🤘🤟🏼🤟🏼⚡️

In a distant world, music held a mystical power. The melodies and lyrics of the band 'Epica' were not just words and sounds, but spells that could shape reality. This was the world that the hero, known as the 'Chosen One,' was destined to save.
The Chosen One was a young man named Theron. He had grown up listening to the songs of Epica, and from a young age, he felt a connection to their music unlike any other. His people believed that he was the embodiment of the band's music, and that he had the power to bring balance to the chaotic world they lived in.
The world was divided into five kingdoms, each representing an element that was constantly at war with one another. The kingdom of Fire, ruled by a tyrant king, was always seeking to conquer the other kingdoms with its destructive flames. The kingdom of Water, led by a wise and just queen, sought to bring peace and harmony to the land. The kingdom of Air, ruled by a group of powerful sorcerers, used their magical abilities to control the winds and dominate the other kingdoms. The kingdom of Earth, known for its fertile lands and skilled farmers, only wished to be left alone. And finally, the kingdom of Metal, a hidden kingdom within the mountains, valued strength and power above all else.
Theron lived in the kingdom of Water, alongside his mentor, a powerful wizard who had taught him how to harness and control the element of water. Together, they believed that Theron could unite the kingdoms and end the constant fighting.
But before he could embark on his journey, Theron had to go through a series of trials to prove his worth. These trials were inspired by the lyrics of Epica's songs, which contained hidden messages and lessons that only those who truly understood the band's music could decipher.
With the help of his mentor and guided by the music of Epica, Theron successfully completed each trial and was deemed ready to confront the rulers of the kingdoms.
The first kingdom he visited was Fire. He faced the tyrant king in a battle of wills, using the powerful lyrics of Epica to channel his inner strength and defeat the king's fiery attacks. Theron then moved on to the kingdom of Air, where he had to use his water magic to overpower the sorcerers' wind spells.
At the kingdom of Earth, Theron's journey took an unexpected turn. He met a young woman named Simone, who had the power to control the earth and all living things. Theron was immediately drawn to her and they formed a bond through the music of Epica. Together, they traveled to the kingdom of Metal, where they were met with fierce opposition from the ruler, a merciless warrior with unbreakable armor.
But Theron and Simone refused to give up. They sang the lyrics of Epica's songs with all their might, and the power of their music was able to break through the armor and defeat the ruler. With the five kingdoms united, Theron and Simone were victorious.
As they stood at the center of the united kingdoms, Theron realized that the world had changed. The people were no longer fighting, and the elements were no longer at war. With the magic of Epica's music, Theron had fulfilled his destiny and brought balance to the world.
In that moment, Theron knew that the band's lyrics were not just words on a page, but a powerful force that had the ability to unite and save entire worlds. And as for him and Simone, they had found a love that was just as magical as the music that brought them together.
Simone is absolutely stunning here, considering practically everything: the outfit, makeup, and vocals, of course. The guys from the rest of the band are killing it too, as always) Such a great band.

I was a pro musician years back and have a music degree from a famous institute. Using my knowlege I see that This band is extremely talented ....someone has a real musical education in writing these masterpieces.
