    You've heard him on albums by Maverick City Music & Housefires and every single record he plays on the bass parts and tone is so incredible.
    Today he shows us what gear he uses to get those amazing sounds.
    Whether you're in a stripped-down environment or playing a full band set at church, Sam shows you what he does to get tone that perfectly fits each environment.

    For anyone that doesn’t wanna shell out for the Noble but still want a great sounding and simple bass DI/Preamp try the Sadowsky SBP-1. It’s not cheap either, but it sounds incredible. It’s essentially like ripping out a preamp from one of the high end Sadowsky basses and using it with your bass. It sounds especially killer with passive basses too

    So, I can't find the Adam Kiser preset anywhere, or the General EQ settings. His web site has expired? Does anyone know where to get them, or at least the General EQ settings.

    Do you use a bass amp? If so is it on or off stage? And how does that play in to your tone?

  • @ericbraswell4713
    @ericbraswell4713 Před rokem +2

    Whoa! Noble... expensive? $1300 with a 10-week wait time for build...or pony up about $700 more to cut that down. Yikes! Looks like a sweet bit of kit though. FTR, I love your work with Maverick City.

    Do you run amps, cabs or pre amps on the stomp since you have a Noble?

    What’s your opinion on playing with a pick? I know that can be controversial amongst bassists. I’m just curious. I personally love the tone you can get with a pick.

    • @Worshiponline
      @Worshiponline  Před rokem +6

      I personally don’t play with a pick but I totally get what your saying in regards to tone. I actually love the tone of it as well.
      I think you do what feels right for you!! Some of the best bass players I’ve seen have played with picks.

      @call.me.si. Před rokem +2

      This argument Is probably the silliest argument bassists have.
      Playing with a pick and playing with your fingers crests two very different tones that you cannot create if you try to just use one. A good bass player can use either and a really good bass playing knows which context to use each picking style in.

    OC-2 is Japanese, not Taiwanese. Early 80’s.

    • @dakotawagner
      @dakotawagner Před 2 lety

      Depends. There is a difference between the Octaver and the Octave.

    • @STEIJ6377
      @STEIJ6377 Před 2 lety

      @@dakotawagner, that is exactly correct. When the OC-2 was first released in 1982 it was made in Japan. The enclosure was a lighter color brown and it said “Octaver”. In early 1984 the name was changed to “Octave” but production remained in Japan. Product of the OC-2 did not move to Taiwan until 1989, about 5 years after the “Octaver” changed to “Octave”.
