Did you film this two years ago and uploaded it only now? The world's press is already through with their reviews of the 2017 'S' and 'R' models, the 2016 carry-over 'T' won't see many sales anymore.
You're comparing the dry weight of the 1290 (222kgs) against the wet weight of the GSA (263kgs). Add the weight of liquids, a bash plate and upper crash bars the GSA has and the KTM still requires and the weight of the two are similar. Now factor in that the GS carries it's weight much lower down due to the boxer motor and your comments make little sense. Don't get me wrong, the 1290 is an amazing bike, but it has been designed to be more of an on-road long distance race touring weapon for someone looking to leave life soon with a grin on their face after being diagnosed with a terminal disease, or a younger rider who still clings to the idea of personal immortality and that the best bike is always the one first at the next traffic light. The reality is that even though both the 1290 T and GSA both carry the adventure badge, they are completely different machines designed for completely different riders and they as the best at what they were designed to be, just as a Ducati Enduro Pro is an amazing motorcycle for someone that can purchase two, one to ride while the other one is in the shop.
Excellent production values guys, these videos look very sleek indeed.

Yes, they are reviewing it just as it is becoming discontinued. Strange.

GSA is designed for the same on-road long distance race. GSA off road is a nightmare.
How does the superduke gt compare to the super adventure ?
Isn't this T version bike just an outdated version of the 2017 > 1290 - Super adventure S , but with a bigger tank ?
You are right, apologies, it has been corrected
I enjoyed it! Do a 1090 Adv R !!
Got to laugh at wannabes getting up on the pegs to go through a small puddle with cars and houses in the background...
