- Національний гімн Латвії. Слова та музика написані одним із перших латиських композиторів Карлісом Бауманісом. (Латиш. Karlis Baumanis, 1835-1905). Як прообраз майбутнього державного гімну пісню виконують 18 листопада 1918 року підчас акту проголошення Латвійської Республіки. Питання про гімн на той момент ніхто не ставив. Такого офіційно не було. Не зрозуміло чому, але всі розуміли, що з множини гарних, історичних та патріотичних пісень співати треба саме цю, народну молитву "Dievs, sveti Latviju!", - вважає професор Музичної академії ім. Язепа Вітола Яніс Кудіньш.7 червня 1920 року пісня стала офіційним гімном Латвійської Республіки, коли відповіднийнаказ підписав Міністр внутрішніх справ тимчасового уряду Латвії Арвед Берг. Урядова газета Valdibas Vestnesis 8 червня 1920 р. обговорила порядок застосування гімну: «Державний гімн - це народна урочиста молитва. Його значення применшується, якщо виконувати його в неналежних місцях та обставинах без необхідності, серйозності та поваги. Тому забороняю державний гімн виконувати в ресторанах, готелях та кафе, їдальнях, садах та інших розважальних місцях. Державний гімн дозволено виконувати лише на урочистостях та зборах. Усі присутні мають стояти і чоловіки мають зняти капелюхи».Ноти можна придбати безпосередньо у мене.

Government newspaper Valdibas Vestnesis June 8, 1920 stipulated the procedure for applying anthem: “The national anthem is a folk solemn prayer. Its importance is underestimated if performed in inappropriate places and circumstances without necessity, seriousness and respect. Therefore, I forbid the performance of the national anthem in restaurants, hotels and cafes, canteens, gardens and other places of entertainment. Thank you very much my friend! I'm making a project - 24 National Anthems of brotherly countries. 2 volumes 12 hymns each. I've already recorded 10 (plus 3 by other arrangers) and made 4 others which I have to record soon. So, 14 my hymns are already prepared! 10 more left. 😀
