- Kalevi Kiviniemi performs the national anthem of Finland along with male choir, percussion and a full house of audience. This video is recorded live at the inauguration recital of the organ of Sibelius Hall, Lahti, Finland, 3rd of May, 2007. With this video we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the organ!
This was a special surprise to inauguration recital audience. After official program, Lahti Male Voice Choir suddendly appeared to the balcony and organist Kalevi Kiviniemi told to the audience, that now it is time to sing the national anthem. Percussionist Markku Krohn from Lahti Symphony Orchestra assists.
Audio is taken from high quality recording equipment, not from video camera's built-in microphone. Audio and video is better in HD, 720p or 1080p. Audio, video, editing and description by Mika Koivusalo.

I've been in Helsinki and lathi before at that time I was 9 and did organ concerts in halls and churches under the supervision of my late father, great and beautiful country, love your national anthem, with love, from Pretoria South Africa

I've never been in Finland. I don't have any finnish friend. But as god as my witness I love and respect this country. I don't know their opinion against us. Probably they hate us just like the rest of western world. But I still love this gorgeous people. Be safe 💙

@@juliagabel8460 Well with Germany it's because the first two have Nazi connotations. In Finland it's just because our anthem is really fucking long and just repetitions of the same tune over and over. But by all means, Deustchland, Deustchland uber alles!

Well, pipe organ and the voice of singing have almost the same volume, And pipe organ is very suitable to accompany the singers, because is powerful, majestic.
Because it was the opening of the inaugural recital of the new organ... So what you would use to accompany the national anthem when you are inaugurating an organ? 🤣
