  • Spiritual teacher and former attorney Nanci Danison has a truly amazing story. When she was 43 years old and a highly successful lawyer in health care, she had the first of a remarkable series of beyond-death experiences that completely altered her understanding of herself and her relationship with the divine.
In her popular Backwards book series, Nanci writes about the empowering insights and lessons she learned through these fascinating events. In this podcast, Tami Simon speaks with the intriguing author and "messenger" about the wisdom she has been called to share at this time on Earth.
Settle in for a mind-blowing conversation on past-life memories and the nature of perception in realms beyond the physical, the phenomenon of the afterlife life review, a new perspective on what we call "Source," unconditional love and unconditional acceptance, our dual nature as physical and non-physical beings, the Third Epoch of our planet and the evolution of humanity, the findings of NDE (near-death experience) research, our eternal friends in the non-physical dimension, the choices and commitments our souls make prior to human incarnation, and more.

I’ve been going through same thing with the past lives for months through my meditation state before sleep and during sleep.
It was spontaneous and unintentional and I never heard of this really or looked into it so was startling to me.
I been on a spiritual path for years and had spontaneous stream entry or awakening 3 years ago and the last couple years working in the 10 fetters approach to liberation.
Well , when I dissolved the 8th fetter is when all this started happening of the past lives for months and also leaning my body all the time not knowing that is what it is was confused.
So I been looking around to figure out what is happening to me and why the experiences are more real than waking life here.
I really appreciate hearing that you also experienced what I have been.

Why can't we just focus on this life? We dont get to be here long, and we only get to be here once. We're all going to experience the afterlife, and it's likely eternal, so why waste our short precious life on this beautiful earth focusing on whats next?

Who said anyone is focusing on what’s next? And even if people were, what’s wrong with that? Have you ever had a vested interest in tomorrow? If so, why can’t you just live in today? I think you get my point..

@chrisjohnssolarcross It's natural to be concerned about the future. However, being hyper-focused on the afterlife is unnecessary. We're all destined to reach it eventually, and there's no way to avoid it. Our priority should be making the most of the limited time we have here. People who claim to have experiences the afterlife likely just had vivid dreams. You're not actually dead when your heart stops if your brain is still active, which makes it possible to have experiences that feel spiritual. These experiences are personal and unique to each individual. But bottom line, we should concentrate on living in the present and valuing the time we have on earth.

For me, I deal with a debilitating neurological condition 24/7 that makes me wish I was dead. So yeah, I think about death and life after death often. Suffering will do that to you.

Because we are not here once, and what we do in this life, impacts what we have to do in future lives.

Everybody says, have fun, enjoy! But if someone you loved deeply, died! I can't find joy anymore..Am I doing wrong now? I don't know how to find my way back to love, joy and gratitude gratitude...

Thank you. I don't understand why you can't heal. A lot of people who've had NDE's come back and spontaneously heal. Are you meant to suffer? Is this your lesson for this lifetime? 🤷
