Sady in July 2017 a 57 year old New Zealand woman died after a blast from a nearby jet knocked her to the ground. Officials say the woman had been holding onto a fence that separates the beach from the airport before the force of the jet engines threw her backwards, causing serious injury.
She was taken to hospital for treatment, but died later.

Malheureusement, en juillet 2017, une femme néo-zélandaise de 57 ans est décédée après une explosion d'un jet à proximité l'a frappée au sol. Les fonctionnaires disent que la femme s'était fixée sur une clôture qui sépare la plage de l'aéroport avant que la force des moteurs à réaction ne l'a poussé vers l'arrière, causant de graves blessures.
Elle a été emmenée à l'hôpital pour le traitement, mais est décédée plus tard.

Niestety w lipcu 2017 r. 57-letnia nowozelandka zmarła po wybuchu z pobliskiego strumienia zapukała na ziemię. Urzędnicy twierdzą, że kobieta trzymała się ogrodzenia, który oddzielał plażę od lotniska, zanim siła silników odrzutowych wyrzuciła ją do tyłu, powodując poważne obrażenia.
Została zabrana do szpitala w celu leczenia, ale zmarła później.

I used to work at an FBO years ago and was walking in front of the hanger when a G5 got me with jet blast and blew me into the hanger doors (glad they were shut). All the line guys thought it was comical and the smell of jet fuel stayed with me for the day. Gotta be careful.

Good video and a big like. MD 80 from Insel Air has the strongest Jet Blast at Maho Beach. I recorded a lot of videos with the same result - people are running (blowing) away.
Because they put the parking brake on and increase thrust. It burns unnecessary fuel but pretty much promotes Insel Air as the experience left behind becomes epic. Kind of like the same experience when people buy drink cups at Six Flags for $20 when you can get the same on ebay for $1.

For anyone that doesn't know pilots bring engine thrust up to 50% until all engines catch up and then finally to 100% thrust, so when you see the initial blast, its time to move lol
