- This is my review of the A1 from Bambu Lab. My #1 all time pick for the best 3d printer to start out with. I have worked with $100 to $100,000 3d printers and this is my best pick for a reasonable budget. The best thing I could recommend to anyone in almost every situation. Compared to the AnkerMake M5 or M5C this is miles ahead in terms of print quality and performance.

Bambu Lab directly reached out to me to inform you all that the heatbed issues are serious enough to tell us all to stop using the printer. Bambu Lab has advised me to inform you all to hold off using this printer before they can determine a proper solution. Things like this do occasionally happen, and they are doing a really good job on communicating on this problem. I’ll keep you updated.
A1 Owners should have this email…. The fact that they are relying on CZcamsrs to relay the message is unacceptable.
@@beekeepersjourney8192 Why is it unacceptable? They e-mailed everyone who had purchased one directly (including me) and now they are doing their best to spread the word to thousands of others, including those who were looking into the A1 as a potential purpose through these reviews, turning them away from it. It's obvious safety is their number one concern with this. I'm no fanboy before you run down that path but it's clear that this is just an additional way to get the word out about the potential danger and if it helps, why is it such a bad thing?

@@beekeepersjourney8192there is no way to reach everyone in an email and by letting all content makers know the entire 3D printing community knows already less than 12 hours after the first email. This was the fastest way they got the info out. 99% of 3d printer users are involved in the online community in some way.

Thanks for the review! I agree that the A1 is leaps above my other 2 printers. I checked my bed cable too and I'm not worried about any problems. I'd order a second A1 today if I could.
Thank you for the video. Can you tell me please... with the A1 and the AMS lite, can I print with PLA and PETG in the same model?
Awesome review, this is my first printer although I have experience with the Prusa MK3. I love the speed and ease of use of the machine plus support has been quite responsive, even with the cable recall. I hope they come out with a new camera module with better resolution.
I've noticed many reviews praising Bambu software, as a software engineer, I have to disagree. Both Bambu Handy and Studio apps feel non-native and sluggish, with many shortcomings and confusing UX. My main gripe is the inability to select custom filament profiles, making printing with non-listed filaments a hassle in both the printer console and Bambu Handy app.
Except you can use custom filament profiles in Handy...
spray window cleaner on your build plate and up your bed temp to 40c solved 99% of my bed adhesion problems with the a1
My cable looked ok, printed the strain relief part and it failed causing the printer to trip the breaker in my house.

I feel that even if bambulab did have to recall the A1 that doesn't mean its a bad printer, the fact that they did it is sign that they care about their customers, From what I've heard atleast. Despite this I still hear great reviews on their printers. Still debating on getting the A1 or the P1S lol. I do have to ask, how loud is the A1 vs the P1S that's one thing almost no one talks about.

@@JaysTechVault hawt dam, now ur really hyping the bambulab ones lol. I got a CR10SE but it hasn't even been over a month and I already have issues with it. Im still fairly new to 3D printing so i dont know much to fix em but what my friends keep telling me is it might be a bed heating issue. Taking it back for a return and getting either P1S or A1 Im steering heavily towards the A1 lol.

I have this printer and it’s great, but if this is not a shill video I don’t know what is, also this person seems to have a personal vendetta against Ankermake which I am not sure if I could trust his integrity, also, with 208k followers but such low view counts of his video, I wouldn’t say this person buy bot subscribers but surely it’s sus as hell

Not meant to be rude, but it's a shame you didn't talk about current fire risk issue with the A1. How can you recommend this printer while it can burn down someone's house...
I got the email about this a day or so before this was published. I went ahead and took a look on mine and it was perfectly fine. I tried to actually mess it up without avail.
I can talk about others experiences but there wasn’t any to add for myself. Bambu Lab notified everyone by email who had the printer and offered to fix it for free.
It’s a valid point to include.
@@JaysTechVault bambu lab tell people to stop using the printer and wait 2-3 month for the replacement part.... worst purchase i made in my life to be honest....
