We continue Somov's journey through the Far North (Extreme North). Wrangel Island is a beautiful island with unique nature, so the whole island is declared a protected area. In Soviet times, the island housed a residential village, a weather station and military bases.
The Far North sounds beautiful, romantic and harsh, mysterious and simple. But in fact, what is it like, is it the extreme North and in general, where is it located, what is there, does anyone live there and why do some people and birds go there? Maybe this is a fiction and in fact there is no edge ...
Every year, an old ship, Mikhail Somov, is sent to the Arctic, carrying people with Arctic fever on board to scatter them over uninhabited lands and leave them face to face with the Far North for a whole year.

Я был и в Тикси, и в Чокурдахе. Это было нечто особенное. Избавить эти места от мусора - крайне хорошее и нужное решение. И, пожалуйста, позаботьтесь о том, чтобы Чокурдах получил услугу по вывозу мусора. Перестаньте выбрасывать мусор прямо возле дома. Я думаю, что очень большая часть может сгореть в печах центрального отопления.
I have been to both Tiksi and Chokurdakh. That was very special. Ridding these places of garbage is an extremely good and necessary solution. And please make sure that Chokurdakh receives a garbage collection service. Stop throwing trash right outside your home. I think that a very large part can be burned in central heating stoves. @@wildlife-siberia-ukraine38 It was meant for janvanholten7592. He apparently managed to visit places far off the beaten path. It's probably not feasible to go there in the near term, but I wouldn't mind travelling there someday.

Tiksi and Chokurdakh are villages in the far north of Yakutia (Sakha). Planes fly there.
