I’ve known Bob Mcswain for many years. He’s owned that car since he was a teenager. I’ve always looked up to him and that car. I met Bob who his brother Tom. Sadly, his brother Tom is passed away, but both Bob and Tom . Are both the coolest man I’ve ever met truly nice guys with bad ass rides.
Man the sound that hemi gives off wen she burning out! I get goosebumps I wanna be in the cockpit lol
ive seen this car in person.it shakes your soul, this is one bad ass roadrunner!!!!
Ill never forget riding in it with Bob. Seriously best cars ever.
An 8 piston symphony for sure!!!
'65 to '70 - best looking cars ever made
69 was always my magic number
You're right on that man" me an my 69 SS CHEVILLE-- 4 speed-- 396/ 375 hp"!! what a time.
@@robertwalker818 I would love to own a 70 ls6 454
First name last name = 65 to 72 were my favs = and some on either side... How can we not include the 55 Nomad wagon ... Or the first STINGRAY Corvette 63 & 64 = was split window.... there was total design genius...
I agree, they were all bad ass.
Roadrunner's are underrated, I put them right up there with the ALL-TIME greats of muscle!!!
@Johnnie Campbell yeah, cudas are the cream of the crop when it comes to mopar/plymouths. Well that's what most people think... but roadrunners and dusters will always be my favorites
I'd take a RR over a Cuda or Challenger every time. That last guy must have a hell of a good battery or two in that car, the joys of carburetion.
Yep Yep and Yep, I had a 69 440 SixPack
@@maxtm3000 id put chargers, 68-69 gtx and RR over the cuda.
Just..wow. Breathtaking. I still love the vinyl tops from that era. Salute!
Love the sound of that hemi!!!!!
that 65 coronet is sweet. I love those two door sedans
liberty larry 440 big block we're fast to
There is no mistaking that big block Chrysler sound. I had a 68 Road Runner 383. God I miss that car.
My parents drove a 70' with stock 383 4 spd when I was born.Their first new car,was only a few grand...lol..Wish still had it.lol..True Muscle!!
MAJOR MOPAR MADNESS, COULD FEEL THE VIBRATION WHEN THE ROADRUNNER BURNT OUT! TOTALLY AWESOME.
They all were great cars , but that Coronet .. Ohhh
Love this road runner, he's really needs to check the carb to long to start. Sounds strong.
Timing is advanced too much for easy starting. Pays off on the top end though!
That's a man's cars right there
I have some pics of this car from when it was in a magazine spread. Great to see after all these years!
That road runner was the show.
that car is all GO!! what a great build. smart man to be able to put the entire package together like that.
now that's a Road Runner with an attitude-a Hemi attitude!!! Beep Beep!!!
Beep Beep Byeeee
Usually car shows have tons and tons of camaros this one had more MoPars nice to see something different
Sickest road runner out there,,,amen.....
I will always love bob's car. The first time i rode in that thing at woodward cruise, when he started it up EVERYONE turned their heads in awe and It was so damn awesome.
BADASSED!
The 60's and 70's we're the ultimate rush for Muscle Cars and Music.
Use to drag race at Tri City Dragstrip in Freeland, Michigan in the early 70's.
Saw all the big names in person including Big Daddy.
Memories that stay with me for life. 63 now.
my favorite car in the world...RR/HEMI... THNX FOR POSTING... :)
Your not the only one with those dreams
thomas zambelli but the hammer though! I'd love the 69-70 roadrunner but that oh so special hammer is my dream
Sounds nasty. I love it.
I thought I felt the Earth's rotation slow a bit that day.
Have to say this 426 Hemi sounds very healthy, must have been in good hands and care!! Good for the thing when you have to start your day!
Beautiful 68 RR love the color and the Hemi love it more with bucket seats and console with a 4 speed
Hey, McSwayne, I'll sign your glove box......& I won't even charge you!!😆🏴☠️ Bondo Bob, signing off👍🏁
AMERICAN MUSCLE THE BEST FOREVER!
What a monster!!!
Loved these monsters since I was a young kid. Awesome video 👍 thanks for sharing
The green 65 Cornet is my favorite 😍
Friggin awesome car!...no roadrunner HEMI LOADED!
Those Hemi engines sounds like a caged lion roaring.OMG!
The Original Kings of the street
6:17 is what we came for !!!! LOL !! BEAUTIFUL RR !!!
HP that is, Hewlett. Towards the end of the video, look at the idiots showing off the Firebird Trans-AM, Grand-Prix, etc... A childhood buddy of mine when we were teenagers couldn't afford a GTX nor Roadrunner, but he did build a respectable '68 or 9 Coronet with a 383 c.i.d., automatic. From child backyard mechanic to professional tech. in his latter teens. I learned a lot from him. He was the one who made sure the first clutch job I did to an Isuzu 5-speed went right, by telling me about R&R the pilot bearing.
American Muscle at its best
Those psychedelic scene transitions are a riot. Thanks.
Back in 74 we built our first street car and it was a 63 plymouth with a 70 426 four speed and 3.23 rear!! unfortunetly it never ran properly because the previous owner had shaved the heads and the intake manifold didn't align properly but still managed to burn rubber with mickey Thompsons N-50's!!
There's nothing that sounds like a built hemi
Fastest motors in the world! (11,000 hp top fuel hemis!)
@@elonmust7470 11000hp??????
My small block Ford doubles that garbage can .
@@honestpainter You can´t a ford it.
@@herrbananhjarnasmith7598 your correct. Who wants Mopar when you have a Cobra ! With a 514 !
Liked that cross ram elephant in the coronet, sweet. Road runner was no slouch either.
Chrysler Dodge Plymouth < Big Daddy , beautiful ride you have ther
love it...and I'm a Pontiac guy
I wish I knew the paint code of that car. Love that color.
Remember seeing this car years ago, I lived I'm Roseville and had a 68 Roadrunner in Be blue with 68 Charger interior. Remember Precision Pair club?
3:45 that yellow charger in the background:
“Hey”
Thanks for the Burnouts Reminds me of Two Lane Blacktop
Love 69 Plymouth road runner
The six pack hood on that 69 Roadrunner that said rat poison was very subtle... It was a big stab at Chevy big block engines because Chevy big blocks are known as ratt engines and small block GMs are known as mouse engines and I think it was totally kickass that he put that on there, because that's exactly what that is...a severe dose of rat poison coming at you you in Chrysler cubic inches...meep meep!
Where's that guy with that mustang...??!!?
THATS A HEMI HOOD Paul six pak hoods have two smaller scoope's side by side...
Actually no. In 69 1/2 they came out with the Road Runner with the 440 6 pack setup and it had that hood with the single big scoop. I know as I had a 69 Road Runner and bought one of the fiberglass hoods for my car. Other model cars had the side by side scoops but not the Road Runner.
Paul Bourgeois GM sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
@@lynndempsey4096 why dont he try a shot at the creamsicle 56 of joe barry.
Your comment has been neutered.
badass!!!
Sweet 68's awesome cars
Great road runner. I love it. My dad owned one way back.
Awesome car man, another sweet burnout!
Wow, that thing is very clean and very gnarly.
Badass PLYMOUTH !!!
That's why I love hemi's...just plain evil.
i know right
383 magnum and 440 6-packs ain't no jokes. Hemi sounds great and from the display that one runs.
those two signatures are priceless
NO sound better than a BUILT TO THE HILLS HEMI!!!👍👍☝️☝️☝️
Beautiful mopars
The Gods of Drag Racing has declared before & it is written... "There is No Replacement For Displacement!"
I love it when a car jumps like that. what a color as well
Carlos Ramirez that's the color my '67 cougar was.. it was code "B" maroon.
All those HP's, so little smoke. Hang onto it baby
Very healthy engine and nice build. I think 1000 hp might be a bit generous there, but I could be wrong, just sayin
1000hp is very optimistic!
Oldrider.....I agree.
I used to love doing water burnouts with my 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six-Pak in my driveway. The neighborhood kids just loved it but the neighbors didn't. Wide open headers with the throttle pegged is the only way.
what effing burnout , looks like something we do in the backyard
that's the WAY A CAR needs to SOUND!!
OUTSTANDING!!!!
my favorite car
Gorgeous car!
Sweet! Had a 68; factory forest green metallic, 383 Edelbrock Street Dominater intake, Holley 859 dual feed dual pump, ported polished 440 heads with TRW valves, guides and gear , Racer Brown SSD46 Hemi cam, Blackjack 3" headers into SS exhaust, 727A Torqueflight with B&M shift kit, 3.93 rear. ..sold it to go to college. Worse mistake of my life....
Awesome..............thnx
The best there is!!!!!
Bobs a good guy. Him and his buddies are known as the rat pak😎
HOLYSHIT!
great looking car
Awesome!!
Brutal, all alil the Hemi.
That belvedere is awesome especially if it has the aluminum fenders but you know it don't those are like a million dollar cars today!
That’s a good runnin mopar
Talk about BEAST MODE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this car !! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CAR AND THE SOUND TO MATCH !!!! I'M HARD, for the rest of the day...............lol. My 68 was nice but not THIS nice !!
Wow I luv those old molars with big muscle this is awesome get her done
Mopar's are so bad ass man,but Fu$k are they ever hard to turn over lol. They were so unique in the 60's & 70's with their cool colours like Plum Crazy,Petty Blue,Lime Green,Hemi Orange,Chrysler White, etc. & then of course the engines like the 318,340,383 Magnum,413 Wedge,426 Hemi,440 Super Commando.Etc. Mopar's Rule the drag strips & Ovals. Look at Nascar for instance in with the big Dodge Winged Assassins as i call them with the Hemi's & 440's & they were spanking the Chevy's & Ford's so badly that Nascar had to ban the Mopar's because it wasn't even a competition anymore. & then the drag strips with Big Daddy Don Garlits & his Swamp Rats with the Hemi. Garlits was an innovator way before his time. He came to the track with a rear engine dragster & people were laughing at him like what are you up to now Big Daddy? Well he was up to something alright lol. & then the Sox & Martin boys & Dick Landy. etc.
Sudsy Sutherland
I think it was Plum Crazy Purple, Top Banana, Sub lime, Green Go, Vitamin C Orange, Tor Red, Rally Red, Spinnaker White. Chrysler had a slew of colors in 1970.
Very nice
What a beauty.
WHATTA BEAST!!!
Lol let me introduce that Hemi to my 555 Big Block Chevelle .
Louis Russo Why is he supposed to be scared or something?
Coronet.... seething horsepower of insane craziness Hemi stuff
DAMN! That is too much power!
Andre Hunt said no one ever
Man oh man is that music to my ears 👂 !!!
you know you got a shit ton of torque when you turn the car on and the whole car flexes
What a beast!
very nice
I do believe some day and it will be soon these cars will be back.
BEST MUSCLE MOTOR EVER MADE...1000 HP SHOULD FINALY GIVE MY GTR A GOOD RUN...
Heck yeah boys!
Awesome car
A lot of super rides
Burn out at 6:19
Nothing sweeter then a old mopar with a duel quad hemi
