Welcome to Home Free !! Their rabbit hole is deep. The beat boxer is Adam Rupp, 1st tenor is Austin Brown, 2nd tenor ( beard and glasses) is Rob Lundquist, Adam Chance is the baritone doing the jawharp sound, and your Baseman is Tim Fount who has a 5 o tave voice and has broken speakers with his low voice. Chris Rupp was the co-founder with his brother Adam Rupp (the bear-boxer). You will see him in some of their older videos. He left the group to do some solo projects but still collaborates with them. Adam Chance took his place. There are no lead singers. They take turns depending on whose voice is right for the lead. They are country based but can and do all genres. Their harmonies are perfection, Adam Rupp does many sounds, and we say he swallowed a drum kit. They do covers and make them their own, and they have many original songs too. They can make you cry when they are singing serious songs or religious songs, and they can make you laugh with their hilarious side. There are no bad songs, and there are no attitudes among them. Just gentle, humble, and fun-loving guys who love their fans as much as they love them. Their fans are called Home Fries, of which I am one, and they will flock to you when you start listening more to Home Free. You will not be disappointed with anything they do. You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there with a 5 octave range & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. Drummers have often commented on how realistic his drum sounds are. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Ring Of Fire", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley" etc.
Now do "Folsom Prison Blues". That's got chugga chugga. 🚂

Home Free has been going for over 2 decades, with these 5 men holding the membership since 2016. They are still going strong, and their diversity just keeps growing more and more diverse. If you keep following them, the many fans will be right behind you.
This is from the movie O Brother Where Art Thou starring George Clooney. The film is set in rural Mississippi in 1937, and it follows three escaped convicts searching for hidden treasure while a sheriff relentlessly pursues them. Its story is a modern satire which, while incorporating social features of the American South, is loosely based on Homer's epic Greek poem The Odyssey
It’s actually a very old song, over 100 years old and done by many artists. It was made popular in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou though. (Great movie) 🤩

You had it right! This is an old song. Circulating around 1900 and written down in 1913. Pre-bluegrass and pre-country.
And Adam Rupp IS a bad-ass beatboxer doing drums and "harmonica". Adam Chance (known as Chance) did the jaw harp sound using some kind of harmonic overtone singing.
Adam Rupp is the beat boxer of the group. Adam has won the beat box world championship three times. Check out his drum solo video and you will see his full capabilities. I had the great opportunity of going to one of Home Free's live performances a couple of years ago: AMAZING Yes, this is a cover of the song. It is a prominent song from the movie "Oh brother, where art thou"; but HF version is very different from the original. The scene in this video is from the cajun creole area of the south.
I know a lot of people think Adam won world championships, but in actuality he's never been in a competition. Just FYI - now if he was to enter one I have no doubt he'd sweep the competition. 😆

Home Free is amazing. They are all a cappella so no instruments. Their beatboxer is incredible. He was doing drums, harmonica and other sounds with his mouth. They sing all genres of music and all take the lead depending on the song. The bass is Tim Foust and he has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing up with the tenors. This is a very old song and is done in a bluegrass style. It was raining on and off - that’s why Rob (glasses) was wet. Try End of the Road, Can’t Stop the Feeling, Playing with Fire. 😄😍

Just so you know, Home Free has been independant for over 4 years now. So anything from their Dive Bar Saints album and after you won't have any copyright problems with. This song was right before they went independant. At the very least, you know anything they do within the last few years is safe, if you don't want to look it up.

I really enjoyed watching your reaction. Home Free is an incredible acapella group. You should also check out the cover of Man of Constant Sorrow by Geoff Castellucci (Jeff Cast-a-loo-chee). He has a 5 octave range and covers the low and the high parts on his solo channel along with using some light instrumentation. He is also the bass (low) singer of my personal favorite acapella group #Voiceplay. Home Free is my second favorite and they are actually all friends having been on the same season of Sing Off, an acapella competition. Voiceplay does a ton of Disney covers, along with almost every other music genre. Their most recent Disney cover is Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notredame and Geoff takes the lead in that. Voiceplay is also completely independent and doesn't copyright block their songs. The only time a reactor seems to have a problem is if the song is blocked by the original artist. Hope to see some of them on your channel. Both Home Free and Voiceplay have an avid fanbase who love watching reaction videos and are incredibly IMHO friendly and welcoming. Hope to see more Home Free and am looking forward to seeing first time reactions to both Geoff and Home Free.

I am sure by now someone has told you to watch "End of the Road", since you like Rob's voice. This song is 100 years old or thereabouts. And if you look closely, you will see it's raining.
Song was written in 1913 by a partially blind fiddler. (October 8, 1883 - January 23, 1977) was an American folk musician and songwriter from Kentucky. Father and mother both died when he was very young and owned a farm. He became a traveling musician. You don't have to be of one color or another; nor do you need to have one catastrophe or another ... to be a slave. We are all slaves until we change it. Love this song. It should enlighten a lot of people.

The group is great, but just beware their cult like fan groups. The group is amazing, but their fans are incapable of shutting the hell up. They will tell you the most obvious facts like “they are a cappella group” or “Tim Foust is a counter bass” and then proceed to tell you the entire backstory of the group. They're like Mormons on Adderall. Enjoy their stuff, but just be aware they have Skyrim NPC's following them who will spam your comment section.
