This is a good job on showing how to use the Self Checkout.
For people that use cash and change, there is a slot at thigh level where you can slide in your cash dollars, and to the left, a change slot for if you want to use spare change. When you are done paying, a receipt pops out of the slot on the counter. Lots of produce in your order so you are out there eating healthy.
First time is hard, but then you figure out how it works, and it gets easier.

@@susanrand512 Karen,not everyone knows how to use a self check out machine. This wouldn’t be a problem if they would’ve just kept their cashiers instead of replacing most of the lines with self checkout.

Maybe I should’ve looked up this video on how to use the self checkout before using because I was nervous and it asked me if I wanted to withdrawals but I didn’t know and I withdrew $100 and the money was slowly sliding out and I was like trying to look as if I meant to do that 😭

I do the exact same thing after scanning and bagging everything and placing everything back into the cart, I pay for everything as the last step. The employee watching behind me kept saying 100, I didn't understand why she kept repeating it, I thought she was talking about the weather. Then when I was ready to pay , the screen said $104 as my total. I just realized, did she think I was just gonna walk out of the store without paying??!? I have been going to this local Walmart for a long time and she knows it. Then her coworker whispered, " She just got distracted"... wtf, I wasn't, that's how I checkout at every Walmart. I'm not dumb, Now I am irritated.🤦🏻♀️😡

It's good to see when something you develop actually works well .
I watched as you showed how to select an item like the tomatoes. My question is can the system detect an error if you make a mistake? For example, you put in Roma tomatoes, what if you actually had plum tomatoes? Or what if you were buying organic oranges, which are expensive, but selected regular oranges? Can the system alert you of the error, since in both cases the products look the same?

The new style self checkouts at our local Walmart will not accept an international visa debit card. The older style will accept them.

People are so stupid they do not realize their job is been replaced by a machine and those companies won’t need you any longer. It’s to keep from paying an employee to check you out and take your money because they will save a bundle by not employing you they do not have to pay the machine. A hourly wage health care, benefits, vacation pay PTO, pay Social Security benefits and retirement. It’s all about big companies and big money.

I don't know why, but in my bill, it deducted tax for 8.250%, and it said "void bankcard transaction". Did I do something wrong? I selected "payment type" then pressed "debit card" instead of just putting the card first like you did.
No you didn’t do anything wrong! For each item you purchase tax would be deducted. What was the total sum charged?

Walmart always had someone checking receipts at the door. There is always one worker in the checkout corral.
I would never use Walmart self checkout after they prosecuted multiple people for failing to checkout cheap items in a large order.
And now there is a lawyer advising not using their self checkout.

I think everyone should request help at the self checkout, because self checkouts eliminate jobs. Jobs for teenagers, jobs for low skilled workers, jobs for people trying to re-enter the work force. Walmart is money hungry, they will not lower the prices because you are checking yourself out.
Low wage workers could be working at jobs like Walmart, and try and support themselves, or they can be at home not working, collecting government assistance from your tax dollars. I know I always need help at the self checkouts, since I want the employee to do the job.
They call it "AI" and the future is millions of jobs will be eliminated. AI Technology. They are using the technology to replace workers. People will have no job or learn new skills for the future work situation as technology evolves.
I like a worker to check me out, but I also like being able to do it myself and go.

They don't have a guy looking at surveilance 24/7 so how will they do anything to prevent it?
Or if you just buy a big turkey and claim it's a watermelon and pay a lot less, what r they gonna do?
For real, i'm super sad that these machines aren't a thing where i live, if it's really this easy to steal food.
They have attendants that observe you scanning your stuff, and they have phones that show a list of everything you're buying. They know that a turkey would have a barcode, so if you are using the touchscreen to add something, they know you didn't actually add the turkey. They can check their phones to double check what you added with the screen.
