Hail Caesar Vlog #13 - Wargames Foundry Slingers Complete

- It's good to be back with the Legions! Now that The Great Bolt Action Paint-Off is finished, I can get back to painting scuta, pila and gladii! Except...I painted none of those this past week, and instead focused on knocking out some skirmishing slingers from Wargames Foundry for my Hail Caesar Imperial Romans. Pretty nice sculpts, although I did have some issue with miscasts. Now I'm either on to some foot archers or my command model, stay tuned for the next episode to see which I ended up choosing! Nice work. I'm using white primer on my ancients too, even the ones with lots of chainmail. Good to see you got on the good side of the zoom function as well, this is easier to watch.

Nice slingers. White primer's a tricky one, but a great move for anything with so much white on.

Romans are.looking very awesome Jason .
One thing i did notice is that the Early imperial roman auxilia had a light purple-lilac border to the neck sleeve and hem of there tunics .

Very good update Jason. Wanted to get some foundry vikings at Salute last week but the trade stand was permanently crammed, great figures but compared to other companies somewhat expensive. They shall remain on the to do list. I went like you for 8 strong skirmisher units but on reflection should have based them on round bases as it looks better! Command stand looks excellent. Keep the camera rolling :0)

Slingers turned out pretty rad looking. How do the Foundry figures look beside the Warlord figures? I've heard they're a bit on the small side.
+Derek Kinsman I'd agree, they're a bit on the small side. In a massed battle they don't really seem small, though.
Nice update and good luck on your first game. As far as the thumbs down on the showcase video goes maybe it was a mistake because I thought it was good. If it wasn't then...well they can move their crabby pants on down the road. :)
