That is true, but they choose to. Us storm chasers enjoy standing in these type of things that sounds insane enough.

It was a bit windy here in Martha's vineyard last night too...luckily we are all OK.
I live in Lobelville Tn & had 23 trees come down in my yard. Thru my bedroom ceiling & bathroom just missing my husband & I in bed asleep with No power. The trees destroyed All of our transactions. We are 3 elderly disabled vets. No one hurt not even our 4 dogs. IT AS IF THE HAND OF GOD WAS OVER OUR BED AT 9:58 pm on March 24, 2023.

Okay there was no weather warning for these states ?
It was like a group of severe storms just back to back. And the sky was lit up like 4th of July. God help us all.
These storms at night are the worst. People are in bed or cant see any visual ques to indicate a tornado. Also, many smaller communities can't afford warning siren systems. We have two sirens where I live but they are hard to hear during a storm. It is a relatively new system, but is not large enough to be really effective.Useless if I am in bed asleep.

I bet 10 years from now we will be building storm cages for the News reporters to survive and give us second to second reports LIVE from inside the storm 🤣
