      The cost difference is massive between the two. However, if an offer came along the AuraSounds definitely do pack that little extra punch and I'm very glad I've got them.
      The Dayton also has a slightly smaller form factor which would aid mounting in tight spaces. Initially, regarding the aesthetic I would have agreed, but now there is something quite satisfying about having the rough and ready AuraSounds strapped to my rig 😅💪🏻
      Actually going to break them down into 2 separate videos mate💪🏻 Mounting 1st then I'll pop in and do tuning 👍🏻

    After trying 25 50W bodyshakers of various brands and for 2 years I ended up throwing them all away and bought myself 9 new 100W bodyshakers and zero problems, they are the reckhorn bs 200i and they are better, more definition and punch... they were at €49 per unit and they arrived from Germany in 3 days to Spain. Now I have 8 bs200i on the seat, they are placed one by one, independently and connected in pairs, 2 on the buttocks, 2 on the ass, 2 on the kidneys and 2 on the shoulder blades, I also have another on the gear lever, another 10" diy behind the DD base simulating the bonnet and on the pedalboard I have 2 12" diy bodyshakers that give big shakes and blows. The pedalboard is suspended by 4 springs, and the seat by 4 small wheels with air, both of them parts are isolated from the chassis, avoiding noise and sensory contamination... Everything is fed with 6 24V.20Amp power supplies and 12 mono subwoofer amplifiers with 100w RPM, everything is controlled with 7 preamps from a console placed above the central monitor , which is connected to 2 7.1 audio cards, and Simhub.

    • @TraumaTeamRacing
      @TraumaTeamRacing  Před rokem +1

      These look pretty solid but my only concern with the Reckhorns is that the build quality does not look very good? Have you had any issue? Do you know what the internal springs are made of?
      You sound like you have one hell of a set up! Do you not get flex when hitting the brake if it is elevated on springs? 2x 7.1 audio cards is a pretty amazing set up 😂 I would love to give this a go 😂💪🏻

    They'll ignore it, they've been pushing it aside all these months and dismissing what people have been assuming was wrong originally. They have 15th gen on the horizon, so if the fundamental flaw is not "baked" on the next chip, they might rush this one through.
    But what's interesting, is the 13th gen has a higher fault rate, but 14th gen is only just behind and still has another year's worth to catch up on 13th.

    I wonder what Amp you're using for these tests. I've heard it's more the amp than the shaker that can get you low frequencies. Most are rated down to 20 Hz, but some like the Dayton BSA-200 are rated to go down to 5Hz.
    My understanding is the cheap amps like the Nobsound don't really do well with low fequencies, but I'm wondering if something somewhere between the Nobsound and Dayton BSA-200 (Like a Fosi TB10D or Aiyima A07) in terms of cost can give you better low freq feeling without breaking the bank.

    • @TraumaTeamRacing
      @TraumaTeamRacing  Před 7 měsíci

      The shakers have an optimal frequency range of which they are most responsive. If you look at the PUI spec sheet it mentions this. These were driven with a Nobsound amp that was not maxed out. You don't want to overdrive these or you risk burning them out. They don't have any thermal protection I believe. The frequency is dictated by how well the coil resonates and vibrates. 50 watts is 50 watts so as long as the amp is not underpowered it should be fine.

    • @TraumaTeamRacing
      @TraumaTeamRacing  Před 5 měsíci +1

    Good review. Thank you. I’ve a pair of the PUI…based on some of your earlier videos. 😁
    When yours failed did they fail completely? I don’t know if mine have an issue if if it’s the nob sound mini amps I have.
    Did you have any issues returning for a refund?
    Cheers.

    • @TraumaTeamRacing
      @TraumaTeamRacing  Před rokem +1

      Thank you very much Yacc, really appreciate it. The PUI at the time I thought were a good option but when comparing they fall below the others here I feel. I still had a good time with them when they were working and was definitely a great experience.
      The thing here is that all of these are prone to failing due to the plastic spring inside them. If that breaks you are screwed. That is why the warranty is so important.
      If you got them from the same place I did, Mouser I believe, get in touch with them, I had a 1 year warranty and they replaced them, they would not give me money back as I recall. Even if outside the warranty it is worth giving them an e-mail and I must say I can say nothing bad about the retailer, they were very good with me.
      Hope that helps.

  • @ubacow7109
    @ubacow7109 Před rokem

    Arent the results also amp dependent since not all amps have a response that extends below 20hz, and often time a lot of cheap amps have rolloff as they come down to the lower freq?

    • @TraumaTeamRacing
      @TraumaTeamRacing  Před rokem

      My understanding is the frequency range is dictated by the speaker. The amp drives the power. The most important factor being the impedance (current flow). These were driven with a 4 ohm amp. Each speaker will have an 'optimal' frequency range. As demonstrated here.
      Same amp with 4 ohm impedance was used to test all 3 speakers to standardise the results of this test.
