Do my eyes deceive me!? No, they do not! I've waited for this for so long. I never thought this was ever going to happen. It's like a Christmas gift in February. Thank you. I had looked up other videos on Paradiso, but none compared to your scholarly style of narration. Kind of makes me like I was back in that era.
It's funny how while I was watching something else noticed this on my recommendation I thought it was your inferno video(seen like 5 times). Looked at it again and it was released a few hours ago. I immediately stopped what I was watching(fuck this!) and jumped in here.
I literally bookmarked this channel on my browser for the past few months instead of subscribing because this was the only series I cared about lol
Moral of the story: if you find yourself in a dark forest with carnivorous creatures in front of you, you’ll see God eventually 🤣great work on the analyses and summaries!

Was waiting on Part 3 forever! Sad to see it wasn't as fully detailed as the first two books. This series really got me into Dante's Divine Comedy, but something is better than nothing!
The PARADISO is really "out there," concept-wise. I couldn't describe it well at all.
I waited so long for the final two parts! Amazing synthesis and style and tone. Gorgeous animations! Work of high quality.

Thank you for such an immense work as I waited for Part 3 for more than a year. Your Dante’s narration resonated deeply with my works as an ICU doctor during the pandemic, where I often question why, how, and to what end? It brought some peace to have an interpretation, meaning to peek into how Dante had viewed and influenced generations for a hope of an afterlife.

I don’t think the story is about the lessons Dante learned, but the lessons the reader learns from his experience. I could be wrong but that was what I took away.

Im currently in hospital with lupus, have rewlly bad insomnia from the steroids (tonight is 140 hours with 6 hours sleep, the last two nights of which i had 0 sleep) anyway listening to this and its helping bc no ear plugs but hearing douchebaggery made me giggle like a child and i had to comment. Thank you for amazing vids i'll watch them awake too!
I'm so sorry my friend. That must be rough. I'd imagine it can be lonely sometimes, and I'd be bored to death being stuck with mainstream t.v. I can certainly identify with your insomnia. I began having it @2016. Mostly because of how insane our world has become, it keeps me up at night. So much harm has been done to people, and it's disgusting and breaks your heart to see so many people have either lost or never had a functional moral compass.
I know we aren't known to each other, but I felt bad for you, just like I would anybody else in the hospital or not feeling well. Sometimes it's just nice to hear someone say something that isn't mean, or just have some conversation instead of just being lost in our own thoughts. So I thought it might make you feel less yucky or alone, just to know someone saw your comment and knows how you must feel. I also had an injury 3yrs ago and can't walk normally anymore. Im not even sure what happened, because I can't find a decent doctor. The pain I sometimes feel from it, also keeps me awake. I guess getting older, ain't for cowards.
I hope you feel better very soon. Take good care of yourself and be well and at peace. I'll be sending some prayers for you. It certainly wouldn't hurt to do. Maybe you can finally get some rest, or at least watch something worth seeing. May you recover entirely, stronger than before, and peace be with you~AC *(from Southern Oregon)

Truly one of the grandiose epics of all time. This trilogy makes Lord of the Rings look like a story for kids. I would LOVE a modern take on this.
no please not, "modern" means anything good will be stripped from it. There is a reason why back then art is more refined and we still talk about it hundred of years later

@@GunnumnThere is a recreation in the works called “Metal Fury” which is a reimagined Dante’s inferno. Its centered on a man who suddenly dies from a freak accident. After which he along side a flying metallic orb, travel across a claustrophobic and horrific hell. However in this movie, hell was created by an artificial alien intelligence. The big reveal of the story will be that regardless of sin and humanity, these aliens treat us like animals. They torture us and force us to feel punishment. A monstrous revelation in the movie is that people are sentenced to this alien hell for not believing in these aliens. Which opens up the fact that since we humans do not comprehend these creatures, everyone regardless of life, are all sentenced to an eternal slaughterhouse.
Also if the 3 men being chewed by Satan really are the most evil men in history or if they have been joined by others over time, like Hitler and Stalin

To me it is remarkable how similar the two peoples accounts are , Dante' as he climbs the ladder up to Saturn and sees how tiny and insignificant the earth is... as well as the account of Michael Collins (Apollo 11; 1969) said that "the thing that really surprised me was that it [Earth] projected an air of fragility. And why, I don't know. I don't know to this day. I had a feeling it's tiny, it's shiny, it's beautiful, it's home, and it's fragile.
How many a scientist reacted to ''The Pale blue dot'' is exactly how Dante' reacts to seeing the earth ... so interesting to see how True and tangible the spirit realm actually is.
I just found this channel and I absolutely love it!
My personal favorite is inferno, but paradiso is detailed so well it might as well hit one of the top of divine comedy. Certainly well done MFE

I have only recently rediscovered this trilogy been doing we're digging on it from Wikipedia a few other sites supposedly the whole message is as long as we do our absolute best God will accept us I do not know if that's a true summarizing of the stories
Do the history of witches and the idea of the stereotypical witch we see today.

What a rich imagination Dante must have had. He could have become a great fantasy novel writer of the medieval ages if he could have transcended first his obsession with sadism and masochism ..
He also had to write very carfully so he didn't get excomunicated by misstake...

Dante (at least from where I read) wrote the divine comedy after getting exiled from Florence and finished writing it in Ravenna and it only really spread after another poet "discovered" it and read it publicly and by then, Dante was probably old/dead.
Why must one have to transcend? Evil has no intelligence? No wisdom? I’m sure writing would still be able. All writers and story tellers must be saints.
