What do you mean going hard? Did you need to go to a medical detox? If you didn't you really aren't in the same boat as most addicts. People who don't have to have shots of vodka throughout the day to stave off the shakes aren't really alcoholics in my opinion. because they aren't physically dependent on it. I KNOW I KNOW. Mental addictions are just as bad if not worse because they last longer than acute withdrawal but when talking about being clean or sober after "going hard" you should specify a bit. I would tell people that I just stopped drinking if I were in your boat. Saying you are sober leads to this conversation we are having now. Theres a big difference between the hopeless drunk and the hard partyer. One literally can't think of anything but booze and the other lives pretty much normal lives. At least during most of the work week
Love how he says as long as he’s sober he can do anything! It’s so true with so many alcoholics and addicts like myself that as long as I’m sober I can work at my 100% potential. Much love max!
The football guy was interesting to listen to. He was candid and well spoken. I cannot say the same for the host. He was seemingly trying to come off as a much deeper, smarter person than he actually is.
Lifelong Raider! Maxx is a beast on the field and an inspiration off. AA saved my life…alcohol had control of me…it’s great to have people like Maxx show the world that 12 step programs work and there is no shame.
Bradley is so right about saying no it’s so hard to get to that point when you’re a true addict. I’ve had ups and downs all my life and the times I was more disciplined were the happiest times of my life even though it was hard it’s a lot harder to be a loser and deal with the challenges coming with being a loser.
I’m 22 and I’m a bad alcoholic I’ve been drinking for like 4 months straight I’m trying to find the power to knock it off for atleast a month to see how I feel but I don’t think I can do it 😅
I almost died from alcohol withdrawals at 22 drinking everyday since i was 16 damn near im 24 now and i have a year and a half of sobriety under my belt you got this man i know u do
You can’t think like that. I’ve struggled with meth for 7 years. And I just hit 100 days clean this past sunday on the 18th. 💯 I got to a point where I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. Trust me, being up for days at a time for so long takes a horrible toll on your brain and body. Granted meth doesn’t have the horribly physical withdrawal alcoholism and heroin/pain pills do. It’s like 95% psychological, but that does NOT mean that it’s easy. Trust and believe in yourself. We’re in this together. You can do it 💯
Keep aiming for your best. I’m 33 and nearly 6 years sober. Drank like a fish - at least half a fifth a day. Many 40s. A day without alcohol was something I couldn’t fathom. You can do it
Damm man you got this. I'm 25 and even though Im not a big drinker I have my days. I'll drink for a full week, just a 6 pack, then I'll stop for a week and drink a couple days then stop again. I've tested myself once just to make sure I'm not dependent on it so i stopped for a month hahaha but Ive smoked weed since I was 12 but randomly stopped in September just because and I haven't even craved it. You got this man
Thanks for sharing. Hardest thing for me was admitting I was struggling (you just did it). The next hardest was asking someone for help. Go check out an AA meeting….introduce yourself to some dudes there. Like Maxx said , do the thing you don’t want to do. It saved my life at 37. Don’t wait till your 37.
This dude is now my favorite defensive player. I’m 35 days sober after 20 years of going hard, I seriously feel 10 years younger.

What did the host do for you to think this? I’m truly curious.
He's known for being very dumb and naive. His guests definitely keep him going.
If you don’t know when either of these people are they why are you watching this video lol
He’s 260 btw
