The Fed doesn't control lender's interest rates, it only heavily influences them. Lenders can loan at what ever rate they wish, but because they often us US Treasury Bonds to off set risks, the higher the Fed rate the higher the lending rates.
Thats why i always invest in core industries , automobiles, and banking stocks
