- C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge Alert Dawn, Mission 6 SUDDEN DEATH of the fan campaign released back in the previous decade. C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge Alert Dawn contains 7 difficult missions for the Allied side. All you have to do is to download and unpack the campaign in the main directory with Yuri's Revenge 1.001.
Yuri's Revenge is an expansion pack for C&C Red Alert 2, released in the October 2001. It contains 7 missions for both Soviets and the Allies, it's focused around time travelling back in time to stop Yuri's secret plan of dominating the world by activating secretly constructed Psychic Dominator devices during the war. Missions are way harder than these in vanilla Red Alert 2 campaign but are still much easier than those in C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 3.3 or C&C Red Alert 2 Mental Omega 2.0. There was also planned a campaign for Yuri but it was scrapped due to the time constraints.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Set in the early 1970s, Red Alert 2 supposedly picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game, but this has been subject to debate. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.

Ok, to be honest I had to spend over 3 hours to complete this mission because of multiple saves and loads because losing here is very easy. You will instantly dislike the idea and the map itself, everything is nicely hidden and AI can start the production against your poor and limited amount of forces. The most simply unfair thing in this mission is surely hunting Boomer Submarines without proper sub-detection because 3 Typhoons are a joke against multiple Boomers. And nope, Tanya doesn't have a sub-detection here, you must lure them out to reveal themselves and destroy them with other ordnance at your disposal. Watch out also at the hills, someone put dozens of Gattling Cannons to shred your infantry in miliseconds. Did I mention that the last part of the mission is destroying a base that has no real land connection, (╯ ͡° ل͜ ͡°)╯︵ ┻━┻?

This was the most exciting mission I ever played. I downloaded the Alert Dawn just because of this map, cuz I was curious, if I can utilize enemy and tech structures. Turns out I could. I even constructed Mutator and Dominator, trained 2 Yuri Prime, promoted the Banfield to elite status... A blind playthrough is tough, however there are many options at your disposal here, which you plainly threw out the window, making this mission annoying and tedious...
You should've captured the barracks at 51:17 with your last engineer. Because you'd taken that oil derrick, you could've had all the engineers you'd ever want. ;-;
Oh well, what's done is done.
I was wondering why he blow up the barrack at 23:20. This would be a much easier game if he captured that barracks, then build engineers and capture all he needs.

I didn't play this mission, but I've played a lotta RA2 + YR, I think there are many tactical moves that can very easily turn the difficulty in your favor. I'm intrigued. As soon as I get to my PC, I'll download the map pack.

A mission requiring high game knowledge. Possible to build yuri prime if you know how to use engineer and spy. And it is possible to find the agent and even the trucks' route, by not following the objectives in row. :D

Agreed. I played a lot of YR and made countless experiments throughout skirmish games. Today I finished this mission exactly as I intended to (based on previously watching a walkthrough video). I instantly fell in love with this map, I saw many options how to capture tech structures and enemy structures to make a best use of them. I ended up with given units promoted to elite status, especially the Banfield Aegis was pretty good, turned all the enemy base to my side, trained Yuri Prime, constructed Mutator and Dominator. By the end there was half a million credits salary and I just waited for the enemy reinforcement plane to come in, which was shot down by Banfield and trucks arrived safely to evacuation spot.
Just one question: I thought the spy's sole purpose was to contact Agent Manninger; when I used him to infiltrate, mission resulted in the failure. Was there any other role he could've been useful for?

Wow, someone actually found a way to make this game somewhat challenging. This actually doesn't look too bad, it just seems like a test of your decision making, patience, and understanding of what units are capable of and how you manage them. Doesn't really seem hard. I love these missions where you have limited resources and you have to find a way to make it work. I'd sabatoge myself in skirmishes all the time so I'd have to struggle catch up with other players, lost a lot because of this but it made it fun. lol I just don't understand why you won't just destroy every building you could early on to boost your units' veteran levels all the way up before charging into the fog of war. Those defenseless tech buildings were a free full promotion to any GI getting the last hit. Any mission becomes a cake walk with a few fully promoted GI and Guardian Gi if you understand how they work, that's honestly why I didn't like RE2 or Yuri's Revenge too much. You could play it like an RPG and just over-power your units and destroy bases in 5 seconds.

@@MartinozO Oh I'm sure I'd have to utilize saves, but that doesn't make it hard, just time consuming and frustrating. I didn't mean it wasn't a good game or you weren't a God for completing this, I just get disappointed now-a-days that today's version of hard is something that just requires patience, an understanding of the tools at your disposal, or just giving enemies insane amounts of hp. God of War 4 and Ys VIII are perfect examples of difficulty done right. Enemy behavior actually changes as the difficult rises. Working up to "Give me God of War" and finishing it was an adventure in and of itself over multiple playthroughs. This seems to have gotten off topic. My bad. lmao
@@TimelessWorldOfGaming Hmmm, you should try the whole Alert Dawn and Alert Sun campaigns. I've never completed any mission there without usage of at least one save.
@@MartinozO I was honestly considering that after watching this video. I usually only have about an hour a day to play anything right now though and these missions probably take 4-5 hours. :( I've mostly been playing Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance for my RTS recently. You should try that too btw if you haven't yet, that one gets tough in some places. It wouldn't hurt to break RE2 back out and give this a shot I guess.

Ofc he did. I ended up having massive installments all around the entire map, 600k salary, elite Banfield Cruiser... It's simple, but requires a lot of patience and tactical moves, no rush at all.
FFS wow that whole part with you trying to take down the gatting turrets your rocket dudes take way to long xD I almost thought you was going to fail there alone

I found two glitches in this mission:
After finding the British war factory, if I sent the spy go across the bridge and stay very close to the German air base before it's revealed, I may be able to own the air base and build jet fighters before the map get revealed. But as soon as the map get revealed, there will be a big group of Yuri's forces in dark cyan (color of the Germans) attacking the base and destroying it, which however will not let the mission fail.
The nuclear reactor being attacked at 1:37:00 can only be destroyed. If it is removed by chrono legionnires or controled by Yuri Prime and sold, the game will crash.
The Nuke Reactor could either be destroyed or captured using the Engineer. 🙂

Wait! Tanya can C4 Lasher tanks?
Yes it's a change from normal Red Alert 2. Because you can now have Tanya and SEALs at the same time, they differentiate the two by making Tanya able to C4 vehicles and resistant to mind control. Also has more health and I think slightly longer range.

@@Nuuk_Nuke_Nook Well, the only building I wasn't able to capture was Industrial Plant. Grinders were taken care of using Yuri Prime. How could one play this without utilizing the enemy structures is beyond me, however I found this video at least informative. Simply the most exciting and fun mission ever.
