"Master Double Strokes in 30 Days" is just one of many click bait video titles. Drummers all over the internet are now offering drum education courses that aren't what they seem. The New Age movement was born in the West Coast of the USA in the 1960's and 70's. Some may go as far as to say that, such social movements were in fact social experiments implemented by government organisations. Many apostles of the new age movement were blinded by it's simplistic charms. It uses a kind of cult programming to string people along with positive affirmation and the idea that your life outcomes are entirely your creation. That you "Manifested" them. It's a predatory business model that isolates it's followers and makes them hyper vigilant, hyper sensitive to "negativity" and has them believing that anyone who does not agree with them or does not support their ideology, is some how negative and in need of some self reflection. Unfortunately, a lot of the people that perpetuate this nonsense are victims themselves. They are searching for meaning and belonging just like those who wind up in cults. Seems pointless too as many are actually good musicians. It's a slippery fish. Drumming is not rocket science. Double stroke rolls are not rocket science. Use sound to inform your technique.
