Mistakes in Film Photography make better photos

- Shooting film has its pros and cons, but I have found that some of my photos that have been "ruined" by things outside my control, have actually made them some of my favorite images. That unpredictable, uncontrollable variable can't be fixed or recreated. It forces me to think about that moment in time and piece the rest of the even together in my head which in reality isn't that the whole point of taking a photo?

Absolutely brilliant video, you're so spot on ,if it was digital you probably would have chimped then delete.
Love this video! You've put into words somehting I haven't been able to when thinking about film photography. Like Bob Ross says, there's no mistakes, just happy accidents.
Ha true
Nice video, Graham! Just that piece of metal was a surprise, but it's a reminder of that reflexes and optical phenomenes can make pictures more interesting. My favourite is slidefilm, no post, straight out of the camera. I don't do post on digital either, computer-pimped images don't impress me.
Cross processed slide film straight up has a special vibe to it as well 👍
@@graham_white not my cup of coffee though
meh. that is my favorite word for my garbage photos. I should go look at my negatives again, photo dumpster diving..
Don’t get lost ha
I’ve had this a few times where it turns out pretty cool. Except this one roll I just got back, about half of the pictures are double exposed to a point because for whatever reason my film mush have been slipping almost every time I wound it. Sometimes this has made a great result but sadly this time left about half of my roll unusable.
Exactly. Sometimes it’s great, other times it’s the worst.
@@graham_white the same camera I somehow kept winding and got 5 exposures on one, cool result
