he was injured for the combine so guess we'll never know ...
On that pass to Anderson at the 3:35 mark, Baker showed his IQ. He scrambled as if under real pressure, all along allowing Anderson to sneak down the line and get open. I don't think Baker thought for one second he was in real danger. The throw was too calm and on point.

Say what u want, I think this was one of the best offenses I've seen in a long time. Andrew's, Brown, Lamb, Sermon/Anderson, with that OL and Baker. I would've loved to see them play Bama.

As a Sooner fan I have to agree. Beating Oklahoma State in Stillwater is nothing knew for OU. I give O State credit for playing a good game, but the win wasn't surprising. The Ohio State game was completely different. Not many have gone into the Horseshoe and taken a win. Especially non conference teams. Baker was great in both games, but to me the Ohio State game was more impressive.
Had an Oklahoma State brain fart and misspelled it.
I definitely agree because Ohio St had a much tougher defense.
William Murphy I think it helped him win the Heisman too ! The most exciting young man to watch bar none. He will be missed big time. I live in Oklahoma and they rarely show Cleveland playing. I wish he had gone to the cowboys or as backup to Drew Brees!

The receivers did most of the work... they were all WIDE OPEN. Most QBs can pass like that when receivers are wide open.

Baker was great and definitely deserved the Heisman, but he didn't do it all by himself. Lincoln Riley kept the Bob Stoops system which helped Mayfield progress even further. Here is a rundown of the players Mayfield had:
HB Rodney Anderson, 1,163 yards, 13 touchdowns rushing, 17 catches, 281 yards, 5 touchdowns receiving
HB Trey Sermon, 744 yards, 5 touchdowns rushing, 16 catches, 137 yards, 2 touchdowns receiving
WR Marquise Brown, 57 catches, 1,095 yards, 7 touchdowns
WR Ceedee Lamb, 46 catches, 807 yards, 7 touchdowns
TE Mark Andrews, 62 catches, 958 yards, 8 touchdowns
Even guys like FB Dimitri Flowers (26 catches, 464 yards, 5 touchdowns receiving, 14 attempts, 22 yards, 4 touchdowns rushing) and WR Jeff Badet (26 catches, 400 yards, 3 touchdowns) were solid weapons for Mayfield

This wasn't a football game, it was a track meet! His receivers should be given an assistant Heisman Trophy for their rolls! Especially Brown.
Hollywood Brown on the right NFL would be nasty. Or the Ravens need to unlock him but he's a beast. Put him in a position to succeed and he will.
You should do “the Game ________ won NFL MVP”
NFL mvp has a lot more to do with the season as a whole than the heisman. NFL mvp is usually given to the key player on a team with a first round bye. There are games where those players put up numbers but in terms of winning the MVP it’s more about the season as a whole. You can’t really point out one game in the season that won the mvp for most guys. With the heisman you can clearly remember Manziel, Troy Smith, Tebow, ,Baker, and many others’ heisman moments
Darnold has best visual range, Mayfield has best pocket patience. Browns’ choice was right. Decisively, Darnold is fumble prone.
Both teams had a hell of a game offensively, needless to say for their defense' they likely had the longest film sessions of their lives 😂😂

Tatum Alonzo I would say in my personal opinion Murray could be better. This is his first year starting and he’s already putting up better numbers. Mayfield is still one of the best ou quarterbacks tho
