Great video. Can't forget Boom Herron going for 90+ vs UM in 2010. Would've been longest ever OSU run from scrimmage if not for ridiculous penalty toward the end.

Thanks for these. Tim Spencer was really underrated. That 1982 team had the strangest year ever. Probably the best team ever to lose 3 games in a row. After they recovered, was probably the best team in the country by the end of the year. Ask Steve Young.

Having grown up in Columbus in 60s 70s .Everyone wanted to be a Buckeye. It was always about rushing the ball. Electrifying, saw all of this some in person

Best OSU teams always were able to pound the rock with kickass RBs. Also, Archie Griffin absolutely explodes up the field as soon as the ball touches his hands it's unreal.
I've seen Archie, Eddie, Maurice, Beanie and all the others in between. Zeke Elliott is the best OSU RB I've ever seen. He came up huge against elite teams every time when healthy.

Robert Smith is arguably the greatest NFL RB ever from Ohio State. He only played 8 year and had 1500+ his last year. If he would have kept going another 5 years he’s likely a HOF inductee. He also forgot Pepe Pearson who has one of the ten greatest single seasons in school history with over 1400 yards.

Side note: Met a kid's parent on my son's soccer team last night who laughed at my "Touchdown Buckeyes" ring tone on my cell & he mentioned that he's a Clemson fan. I told him we'll get along great & he looked at me like I was crazy. I told him I have zero problem with Clemson but if he said that "M" word, we would be in trouble!!!!!!

Robert Smith should have been on here. He’s arguably the greatest NFL running back Ohio State ever produced. Also no Pepe Pearson? How can a guy who rushed for over 1400 yard in a single season (10th all time) not be on any highlight reel of great Buckeye RBs.

Such tasks are always tough, but no Cal Murray runs? Those option pitches to Cal Murray and Tim Spencer were killers for defenses. Could’ve used a few runs from our other Heisman Trophy RBs as well. That said, thanks for your effort!

I'd also like to see his 3rd down run against TTUN two plays before his OT tuddy. Even though he didn't make the 1st down, that was a thing of beauty--and made JT's 4th and 1 one that will stick in the craw of every TTUN fan forever.

I started watching the buckeyes in 95. The most violent runner Ive ever seen in the scarlet and gray is Carlos Hyde. That guy used to punish opponents. True smashmouth football
