Just saw this movie today and gladly recommend it. Young Willy was so magical.
This ISN’T a remake! We’ve seen it 5 times!!! Definitely Oscar worthy! Timothee was fantastic!! No one else could pull this off like he did! I think Gene Wilder would be very happy. Liked the Depp movie but cut that out and these two go together perfectly.

I've noticed in a lot of these Wonka YT videos, the clips they show are mirrored from the actual movie. I wonder why that is. BTW, I've seen the movie 5 times already. It's fantastic.
This is something Gene would be proud of, especially how Wonka was portrayed. It is the perfect beginning to the Gene Wilder version, not too weird and just the right amount of kwirky. I was not a fan of the Depp version, it was something that went the wrong direction. This brought the story back to where it was supposed to be. And doing it as a pure musical was ingenious, especially with the chocolates.

The Tim Burton was a remake in his weirdo way. I liked it, but Wonka was the back story to the 1971 movie.
I've seen him mention Johnny. But he's usually answering questions, so it's up to the interviewer.
