Well, you have to know by now that girls can be stroppy 😂 Though she could easily have bitten you, she chose not too which shows she’s a very nice birb indeed!
Yeah, the little lady sure can have a strong will & temper sometimes 😄 but she's only angry when she guards her nest. But even then she sometimes allows me to stick in my hand and pet her. Im pretty sure all my birds knows how much I love them 🤗
At least she is not biting your finger just shying away from it.My male kakariki Sunshine would have bitten my finger off and drawn blood if I tried to get him to step up to my finger. He will jump to my arm, sit there or go to my shoulder but never wants to step up to my finger.Stick training, treats nothing will make him do it.
Yes, kakarikis can be very stubborn. 😁 Only time my kakarikis has ever bitten me (not severely) is if they are hormonal. Otherwise they might just gently nibble my fingers or nip the collar on my tshirt. Hopefully your little guy will stop the biting! When I had birds who bitten me I always try to make a yelp sound similar to how kakarikis sound when they get hurt. I repeat it until they stop biting. That has usually worked for me when I had biters. (And I make sure I make the sound at the slightest bite).
Lovely little Picasso 💖
Haha yeah, he's the sweetest 🤗
Well Nove defiantly went Super Nova after that! But what a little charmer Picasso is!😍
Haha indeed. Nova is like NOPE while Picasso is like, No problem 😁 They are so sweet with their different personalities.

My Kakariki will never go on my finger unless I have a strawberry! Only food will get him on. He is, however, so sweet and gentle.
