Instead of the metal which can damage the screw, coat several round toothpicks with wood glue and fill the hole with them. That's a trick I was taught for fixing stripped screw holes when working building maintenance. I fixed the hinges in our bedroom door that way 10 years ago, and it still works fine.
Better than filling the hole with metal, try the plain ends on matchsticks and wood glue. (Glue the matchsticks in the hole. Cut them off flush and then put the screw in.) Lasts for a lifetime.
Did that just spin all the dust off??? No sweetie, he first looked for the center and than you put tape on your drill so you know when to stop tu put the plug in...

Him saying "its a bloody door" made me laugh way more than it should have 😂

“…it’s a bloody door” 🚪
The way our jaws dropped at the same time with the paint and the bottle top 🤯
Back in the old days "I'm 64" we would learn these things from our shop teachers.

„So what you’d do then?!!”🤣
For the second one, I have used toothpicks or a few pieces of steel wool, like from an SOS pad...something at the house more readily available.
"Who would think of that!?"
That power drill played the first three notes of that one song from willy Wonka and the chocolate factory
Tape on the drill bit to measure depth: Happens to clear the sawdust.

Yep, I remember these like it was shown yesterday.
Some of these are dumb no need to pretend like they're not.
