This was very hard to watch....HE LITERALLY WAS TALKING FOR HIM! ....Sheez....I wanted Mr. August Wilson to articulate his own ideas and views without them being suggested or fed or generalized for him. LORD.
People are criticizing the interviewer a lot, but i started this interview without looking at the video. From his voice i could tell he was from Carolina easily. İ enjoy listening to him too
I didn't realize until I watched this interview that Wilson felt that the Great Migration was a mistake. His attitude surprised me. The irony is that he probably wouldn't have become a writer if his family had stayed in the South. Coltrane became a musician after the Migration, Miles Davis, the same, and the ancestors of Toni Morrison came to Ohio from Alabama. Escaping from Jim Crow was one of the most creative endeavors of the Black community, but it was also oftentimes traumatic. Some Black people were never able to make the adjustment. This interviewer talks too much, but I'm looking forward to the second half.
Interviewer is horrible….why is he grinning appearing judgmental of the great writer . Extracting in this manneris opinionated - an is the worse way to gather information from a brilliant person as Mr August Wilson…
A master playwright for the ages. Thank you for posting CUNY TV!
I like this guy, wish I knew of him sooner.

The Interviewer is cutting him off and it's agitating me....I'm yelling on the inside: "I just need him to tell HIS story....HIS version. Thanks."
