It still boggles my mind this performance didn’t win first place (the semi-final version I felt was the best vocally). But there is so much symbolism going on in this that only a limited audience of people would fully understand. Those that would most understand I think would be the Ukrainian women - those wives and mothers that have had to endure and persevere in a warrior-like fashion through such difficult times. I know such a woman in my family, and after everything she has personally lost and endured, she is finally ready to go by our wishes and “rescue” here from a very dangerous place in Ukraine. God Bless those women that fight on!
