- 11/24/21. Out of roughly 30 hikes I've done in Sedona, this is my favorite! It's steep, not crowded, has some minor route finding and scrambling sections, and great views! Parking is just an issue with Devil's Bridge right nearby.

Whoa! The summit was crowded. I never saw people there between 2009 to 2011.

I’m lost up here right now. I’ve done Colorado’s 14ers but I can’t figure out how to find the route in the final jaunt. Been stuck here for the last hour, bout to head down. I’m in town for two more weeks and really need the beta lol

@@HikingEngineer I’m back to my vehicle now but the part I came to that I wasn’t sure of was a chimney maybe 200 feet from the top that was probably about 8 feet high. Couldn’t find a way around it, as I was cliffed out and it had me second guess that I was on the right route as ascending it was definitely a class 5 move with the holds it had. I’m not sure if you know what I’m talking about, there’s multiple chimneys on the way up that are pretty easy.
I’m going to come back and give it another shot next Monday. Idk if you hike this one often but I’d welcome a friend on the way up lol.

@@jonathanmather6897 glad you're safe. There isn't any class 5, just some easy class 3 type stuff. I didn't do the best job recording this one as the camera was in my hands. Are you staying in the Phoenix area? I live in Scottsdale. If you are staying in the area I might be down to go up with you one day if I'm able to work during the car ride
@@HikingEngineer I was definitely off route then. The route finding on this one is some of the more challenging I’ve encountered in that final stretch.

yeah I'm in! I commented on one of his videos and told him I would drive up to Sedona any weekend to bag some offtrail peaks with him but then he stopped answering haha. Let's get something on the calendar!
