how many times must she have practiced that to still remain in her memory
Yeah it’s like she’s still got the muscle memory
She still has her muscle memory, bless her. Such a beautiful, emotionally video..☺️
her mind forgot but not her heart
She carved that onto her heart
Her mind forgot not her heart and this part she performed is that of Odette the Swan Queen dances a last time before she falls to the lake to get drowned
That was emotional. The elderly are national treasures and should never be forgotten and should ALWAYS be respected!!❤👵🧓
Amen !
Absolutely
The guy treats the old lady respectfully 👍
So caring! and you can see at first, when she was going to withdraw again, how his taking her hand and kissing it awakened her. Love is such a huge part of care and recovery.
He thanks her at the end, and said to her, everyone here is shock with your perfect dancing.
Honestly as beautiful and soulful as she is, the thing that gets me choked up is the way this man treats her with such respect and empathy. You can just see the young ballerina inside, peaking to the surface to remind the world who she really is, and the dignity with which this man treats her. Truly touching
A year later I know sorry… but I must say what a beautiful comment 💕
Watching this again. It's so emotional. Anyone who dances immediately recognizes that she is Odette, protecting the other swans. So beautiful.
So touching to see forgotten grace and beautiful emerge from within.
what a well written comment
There is an intensity and passion that art music brings to those who are willing to give themselves over to it. It’s something no illness or disability can take away. After seeing this ballerina, how could anyone deny it.
This is one of the most moving videos I have ever seen. Once a dancer, always a dancer. Such a beautiful movement by a beautiful ballerina.
I saw this on twitter, melted my heart. Now that I know it’s was in Spain, it makes sense why the man kissed her hand lol. RIP, you are a beautiful soul.
Old womans in spain slap your face sweet, is like yes my child
Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time
That... was beautiful.
i observed my grandmother, in the throes of Alzheimer's, react physically to the music of Patrick Moraz in 1980, and chalked it up, at the time, to her lifelong involvement in music as church choir director and music educator, retiring earlier that decade, from post as Associate Music Director of Georgia Baptist Assembly. Years later, i'd hear Mickey Hart talk about his experience with ALZ-afflicted grandmother, finding her voice after 3 years of speechlessness, when he played a hand drum in her presence. It led him to collaborate with brain scientists at UCSF, exploring this extraordinary connection. This video further underscores the essential light that stems from music's power to animate those stricken with memory-robbing illness, revealed as undimmed, when the stimulus of communication without words, yet full of life, is introduced to their environment. The clearest validation of music as therapy, transcending a mind in decline.
Powerful. Heart goes out to her ❤️
It's amazing how muscle memory took over. Even with some of her limbs incapacitated as it were, her hands, arms, head, and especially her eyes sprang to life!
That is beautiful
Such an elegant madam!
Her ballerina hand movement is still there. 👏🙌😢💞💐
Querida Señora… que siga usted bailando donde quiera que su alma repose… descanse en paz!!!
Oh she is still so graceful with those movements. Music is the most beautiful thing in the world
She has all the STORY on her face! Beautiful.
So very touching..I had tears..
Imagine her family members seeing that... I would be happy and cry tears of Joy😊
She's a beautiful lady. Rip
This ALWAYS makes me cry…
Makes me cry every time I watch it
Reminds me of my grandma... I miss you...
This is so beautiful. I would love to reinact this for drama class, but I’m afraid I can’t portray her 😭❤️What an angel
This tugged at my heart strings for sure.. 😢🥺💜
Praise be, what a beautiful testament to the power of music, a touching, beautiful story, thanks very much, Rest In peace
😭😭😭 She's still so graceful. I hope she continues to get the respect she deserves throughout this awful illness x
She died already in 2019.
This breaks my heart! 😭
Beautiful. We all need a helping hand to give us courage to start again.
This is why I want to study music therapy to help people like this!
In her mind she was dancing once again before a public she felt the music the lights were on her once again. Is not muscle memory is soul memory she did without her legs . The art is in her soul the art is who she is. I dont see a old lady, i see a young spiritful girl in the peak of her career. This is beautiful , one last dance , one last show she felt it all she went there😢❤
Awwww🥺
Her hands say it all. So beautiful
Amazing
this always makes me think. Those people are not lost. They just need certain impulses that work like keys to their old memory and old selves. There are so many videos on youtube, and it most often is music that brings back liveliness in their eyes and spirit.
This is an emotionally-charged clip of great beauty and kindness; to witness such a re-awakening is almost heart-breaking. Brava!
Beautiful!!!!!!!! Her hands are perfect!! Once a prima always a prima
This brought tears of joy. Somber yes but very loving
Boy, that was intense. But than some most performances I have seen.
Memories may fade but music is forever.
Our ballet teacher showed us this in class today, we are 21 girls and you couldn't find one that wasn't crying
Very moving.
This is thee most beautiful thing I have ever ever seen.
I got chills bro
that's the power of "Tchaikowsky's Swan lake Music". it will even make Comatose patient dance like this former Ballerina.
Impresionante !!!!
Wow!
Beautiful!!!!😍😍
This is so wholesome
beautiful and wonderful...Still.
Amazing wonderful beautiful pure🌼
Mi abuela falleció de Alzheimer... la música la regresaba a la vida real... que emocion ver esto 😢
So elegant
How can 19 people dislike this video?
Beautiful!
I don't know her and already chocking up. 🤧🤧 I see the young girl in her. ❤
Beautiful ❤️.
Body never forgets!❤️
This reminds me of an elderly who's a resident in a nursing home I've worked in the Republic of Ireland. She would calm down, smile, and eat happily every time I sing Tom Jones's Delilah.
Maravilloso...
The change in here eyes! From old lady then she was once again a ballet dancer performing in great halls!
Had to check this after reading Our Daily Bread devotional. ❤️
I think it's one of the most beautiful video from mankind.
wonderful
😭❤️👏👏🌹
And such a powerful song right? I wonder in which amazing European Spanish shows she must have shone back in her day!!
Music is truly a language unto itself
WOW
It shows you the power music has over the human mind and body.
😢😢
I wonder how far along her Alzheimer's was, and what state her memory was in otherwise.
To me this is a profoundly beautiful manifestation of the Soul... which Alzheimer's cannot touch!
Great video!! Music can do wonderfull things to humans...... Greetz from Holland
L'art et la grâce 🎨🌹
One of the most touching videos I've ever seen on CZcams. The music of the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky created a miracle

Still moves like a swan - beautiful

Awesome
She had a most wonderful life… and I am happy for her. But, geez… the cruelest thing in life must be extreme old age.
