• Mega Man (NES) Playthr... - Hudba
Settle yourself in for the revamp of one of the most legendary series and first game that started it all, the one and only original, Mega Man! While it didn't achieve success at first, the quality this series would be able to show was clear, and the first game is as fun and simple as you can get for jump 'n' shoot action, and thanks to tight controls, clean graphics and memorability of Mega Man, this game has received its praise as time goes on. But of course, what you're here for is the impressively done soundtrack by Manami Matsumae, her compositions is what started it all and the Sound Effects she created that have been used for so much across the series and gaming media. Her process was also very interesting for how OST was made, as she would take songs she made to games planner which would be approved or rejected, and then convert her hand-composed tracks into a form of MML to work on Yoshihiro Sakaguchi's sound driver, and the overall process of her Songs and SFX work took three months to complete. Amazing work that definitely has paid off over time, Mega Man 1 may be one of the toughest NES games as well, but its earned its spot as a legendary series with great music! :)

I remember asking my dad to buy me this. He was like "Really? THAT one?" And complained to my mom about the box art.
Then I showed him. Its starts with a STAGE SELECT! Other games you just start but here you pick a level and just go there! I'll start with Igloo Man! (It's Iceman son) I can't hear you over this AWESOME MUSIC....
Dad got me 2 for Christmas next year. He got it. Good times. Thanks Dad.
If only North America had the European box art. Your dad probably wouldn't have hesitated at once 😂
But nice story!
This game is the definition of don't judge a book by it's cover
I found Mega Man to be far and away the most difficult of the six NES games, but I think that was what made it so much fun. Crisp game play with serious challenge is what I crave from games and Mega Man delivers.
The one that started it all. Also the only one that didn't have a password system to continue with the gained weapons from the defeated robot leaders or starting at Dr. Wily's fortress.
Fire Man FTW
I remember getting a phone call in the late 1980s when a friend told me that he'd just bought the coolest game over - one where you could steal the powers of other robots including "being able to throw big fucking rocks!". He brought Mega Man over and I was hooked instantly...and it remains one of my favorites to this day. Although I never cared much for any of the sequels after the 3rd one...playing MM1 when it was fresh, new and unheard of was one of the highlights of being a gamer back in the early days.
"Although I never cared much for any of the sequels after the 3rd one"
Shame because some of the games after the first three were of much higher quality. 4, 7, 9 and 10. Even 6 was decent.

11 as well
I feel the same way. after part 3 things just went in a different direction with all the different moves and additional characters. i liked it basic and simple
Happy to see you used the legendary North American box art rather than the European box art. Nothing beats that awkward grimace on Mega Man’s face that makes you think he needs to find a bathroom, real bad!
Love those nostalgic pangs of crippling anxiety I get from watching someone cross over the flying platforms in Ice Man's stage.
Good grief, sometimes those things would damage you just for landing on them and make you fall through them. Infuriating at the very least.
Probably one of my favorite Mega Man games
One of my favourites too.
As someone who played MMI when it first came out. I fell in love with the game. looks like its time to download an emulator and play the nintendo games once again.
Bomb and Elec are just pure nostalgia...lol! 👍
The definition of classic!
MegaMan Music 🎵🎶
I remember being so confused by the box art. I started with MM2. When I saw this one, I was like, “different armor and a handgun?” Only to realize it was literally the same MM in game 😂. What were they thinking?! MM2 was similar with the handgun on the art too. Bizarre.
More subtle reverb/echo, nice. Personally, I prefer it to be dry, but it is an improvement from the previous stereo mixes where these were on the foreground.
Absolute best Mega Man game ever and the music is so fucking awsome
Megaman is a nostalgic game, with nostalgic music! Good Niko!
Edit: Really European concept art is much better than American! 😕
Ahhhhhhhh
The old days
Mega man was one of my favorites
Cut man is best ost
Goood memory thanks from morocco ♓
Bad Box-Art Mega Man FTW!!
Thank you Niko! It sounds so gooooddddd. 🤩 While I’d say I struggled with MM4 more, MM1 was tough, unforgiving in places, and a bit rough around the edges... but you can see the strong notes of something unique there, which was brought out in MM2 and then, I personally believe, perfected in MM3.
"you can see the strong notes of something unique there, which was brought out in MM2 and then, I personally believe, perfected in MM3."
I found Mega Man 2 inferior to the first, and 3 was almost the perfect Mega Man but got held back by its lack of polish. Seriously, the Doc Robot boss fights can burn in hell.
Yes!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I know everyone and their grandparents have dunked all over the U.S box-art for Mega Man 1 by now, but I’ll still never get over just how god-awful it is, even by most 80’s gaming box-art standards.
I agree. the box art for MMI was terribad but still nostalgic nonetheless
@@CCM1199 I agree with you.
Description over the phone + only 6 hours to make the cover = so ugly only its momma could like it.
I always giggled that the box art shows the guy wearing gold and holding a handgun. Da fuq, did they know what Megaman even looked like or did??
Thanks for the music broseff.
Mega Man 1: One of the better NES Mega Man games. On par with 3 and 6, and just below 4.
Great sound track!
The Clay monster cyclops was hard af to beat
12:29 sounds a lot like “Faithfully” by Journey.
Brutal XDD
phantom fighter ?
What a disgrace of a cover art.
охуенно. это не грубость. это по-русски значит нравится.)
